Wish this fucker would drop a couple of shots. Coming to Amen corner now in a couple of holes, stick a few in Raes Creek like a good lad Jordan.

MrsToo wants to watch Pointless now, instead of the Amen Corner coverage. Does she not realise there's only 8 hours of golf on today?

He needs a couple of quick bogeys to start feeling the heat. Although it will be interesting to see if anyone can get close to him this afternoon. Expecting a big day from McIlory and Mickelson

I don't think Rory will get going this year, gut feeling.

Players leading by loads to win their first major nearly always have a meltdown, but Spieth is supposed to be the real deal so he may run away with it. He needs someone to put some pressure on him at least, but no-one is.

If you discount Hoffman, who's a journeyman with no chance of winning, and Els, who's too old to last the pace, he's leading by 7 from Rose and Day, his nearest viable challenges. I fear only Rory can save the weekend's golf viewing by shooting a 65.

Speith is smashing it. Going to be glorious watching him and McIlroy go up against each other for the next decade or so!

Someone will gave a great round sometime today or tomorrow I'm sure, to make this a bit competitive. Too early to give him the jacket yet, he's very young and a few shot swing later or tomorrow, he might panic (hopefully).

Spieth is going to have to shoot par or worse tomorrow to allow anyone to be close to him. Some good earky scores tomorrow might make him tighten up. Can't see it though.

Great birdie birdie finish from Mcilroy.

Just 3 people within 7 shots ... It's a different sort of pressure for him isn't it. He must be starting to think - however much he tries not to - that he should win it. But I think he'll go for it as he has the first two days and ask the question of those behind. Today is going to be fascinating. How will Mickelson start I wonder ...

Ryan Palmer from USA. Arnold can't swing a club these days.
OK. I know that in their day they were the best, indeed Nicklaus was the best of all, but I wish that they'd leave these old boys at the ninth green of the par three course. It's daft that they tee of first on the first day of the masters. Clearly, it's got great traditions but this ain't one of them.
