They'll be fucked if they get knocked out of the CL next week, that will make it harder to sign top players, assuming Wenger has any intention of spending any money - which is open to a lot of doubt anyway.

Harder to sign top players, easier to do better in the league though (assuming they rest players in the Europa)

Very interesting indeed. Looks like they had a similar plan for the transfer window as Levy did, and are facing similar problems in competing with the likes of City and Chelsea on wages.

Have to say, they looked absolutely toothless against Liverpool (who weren't exactly stellar themselves). I think we should certainly be looking to finish above them, especially if they fail to bring in any big names in the next week.

Fantastic - could've been avoided easily, earned himself the one match ban and he still couldn't manage that. Wenger has become far too up his own arse, thinks he can get away with anything but it should be becoming clear to him now that without Dein by his side to get him out of these situations, he's a lot more vulnerable.

I hate Dein, hate the way he goes about his business and the way he gives off this whiter-than-white image, whilst fondling fistfulls of his own poo and touching himself, but i have to admire the way he had the FA and Premier League bigwigs wrapped around his little finger.

Meanwhile, Wenger is at home trying to wrap the youth team around his eleventh digit...

You can never write the gooners off but I am finding it highly amusing what is happening to them at the moment. If they miss out on the Champs League, half of the gooners I know will start supporting Man City.

 Gooners going out on Wednesday would already make this one of the best seasons ever.

Much as I dislike Wenger and am enjoying it unravel down the road, this thing with UEFA is a bit daft. Didn't they ask what was okay, were told what they were doing was fine, and then that changed at half time?

Does seem yet another issue that UEFA could very easily deal with. If the manager gets a ban, don't let him speak to the bench. How hard is that?

I almost felt sorry for him when I saw him scratching his head at the weekend, then I had a good laugh.

If they lose Nasri and bring in Hazard I don't think they'll have lost much.

I just hope this Nasri deal kickstarts a few transfers elsewhere...namely to us.

Wenger in July:

"Imagine the worst situation, that we lose Fábregas and Nasri; you cannot convince people that you are ambitious after that."

They're suicidal over at Ars*nal Mania. This bit is GOLD:

With our dodgy injury record to key players we cannot rely upon Vermaelen/Wilshere/Van Persie being 'clean' the whole season.
Though we have signed 4 new players, is Wenger really gambling on them integrating immediately into the team and making a difference? Surely not.
Not even mentioning that we don't have a proper left back who has played more than 3 games in a row!
This is a nightmare
Not distinct at all. Our squad is very average and is no better, probably even worse than the likes of Liverpool and Tottenham.

Wenger's on SSN now defending himself. He's like a broken man.

Incidentally I think Frimpong is going to turn into the next Twitter superstar/fuckwit.

So far he's mocked Samir Nasri and got into an argument with Piers Morgan. With his stupid hair and excellent 'tackling' ability I think he may be the next in a long line of idiots to come off the Arsenal conveyor belt.

He's just Arsenal's version of Mario Balotelli isn't he?
