Did anyone else hear graham roberts on the radio this morning? He said he was invited to the training ground on tuesday had had nothing but praise for the set up. He said the training is very intense and that ramos leaves no stone unturned in the way the players are prepared. he also said they have different pitches of varying firmness down there so they can train on whichever one they need to get used to. He mentioned that Ramos really came across well and he speaks really good english. All in all it was a really positive peice and made me feel a lot more optomistic!

That is all the more encouraging when you consider how scathing he was last Tuesday when he was talking about our performance against Villa. He offered on air to hold a training session with the defenders so it seems the club heard and were humble enough to offer him the opportunity. All in all a pleasing couple of days for us (about time too).

Was he big enough to apologise for all the ignorant, ill-informed comments he has been making on TALKsport in the last couple of weeks?

Funny enough,no. I have been wondering if he's been offered a job though. what a difference a week makes

In his dreams. He's hugely unpopular at the club—at all levels, before anyone blames Levy and/or Comolli.

I posted my reply with you stating "in his dreams".

You added to it, but I do not understand why anyone wouldn't want this bloke at the club.

I'm not sure of the details, but Robofan (who works at the Lane) posted only the other day that he and most of his colleagues would sooner be put in front of a firing-squad than have Roberts about.

Can you or anyone give me an alternative 'winner' over the last 20 years?

Interesting.....it was quite a marked change of tone by Roberts this morning, he's done nothing but slag off Spurs both on Sky and TS for the past couple of months - even during pre-season - and had some pretence that he had "contacts" at the club during the TW claiming to know who we were signing and selling. He sounded a total pillock, as much as he was a great player and captain for us, which I totally respect.

His only "contacts" were his Spurs supporting friends, who travelled all over to watch the team. No-one within the club whatsoever.
Clearly he's angling for some sort of job back at the Lane though, and has done a complete U Turn, changing his tune. Looks like the press people at Spurs have called in the critics in the Media, and given them a Tour and Handshakes with the Boss to get them on side. About time, say I.

I do listento talk sport but I don't listen to him.
In my humble opinion he doesn't give a toss about Spurs but he needs to build himself a career in the media due to him being a complete and utter failure in coaching and management and, let's face it, who else has he got to talk about that anyone would pay him for?
How he believes he has the kudos or qualificaions to pass judgement on any training at Tottenham Hotspur is beyond me.
He was only a player who left without a good word to say for the club and he has spent the last year or more slagging off my club, a club I have followed all my life, a club I love.
Sorry he doesn't fool me and he has pissed me off too much to ever redeem himself.

On the pitch? It would be difficult.

But since his time as a player he's certainly done something, or several things, to piss off the club—hence his conspicuous absence from the Parade of Greats at the 125th Anniversary. Apparently he wasn't even given an invite, whereas Greavesie the other major absentee, was, but declined.

Certainly changed his tune all of a sudden, really groveling up to the powers that be there now.

Sounded like Levy's got him on the payroll for some positive PR.....Nothing would suprise me at that club!!!

....not the Graham Roberts i'm used to hearing
