My issue with that is your head can be in an offside position (gaining an advantage) but feet in an onside position, it makes it near impossible for defenders to play offside.

Just to add I think there should be the footballing equivalent of crickets Umpire call for LBW decisions.

Because there is a known margin of error if the player is within that margin of error the decision by the ref stands.

This semi-automatic VAR with a chip in the ball is supposed to eliminate the margin of error, i think this could well have stood under "original" VAR. But it's impossible to know for sure, it's so tight.

Both angles they showed shed no light on whether it was offside or not.
If anything the Belgium ATM looks the more advanced.

VAR is such a farce. They MUST let the armpit/knee types of offsides pass.

Edit: the way they choose a spot on the upper arm lol. This is supposed to be the pinnacle of sport.

It's a game of millimeters now which takes it out of the human ability to decide if you, as a player, are offside or not and replaces it with cameras and computers. How is that possibly fair?

He is very good at his role. A lot of people looked at his lack of ability going forward and got upset. He clearly is excellent in the CDM role. Good passer, smart player, strong on the ball.
