Too many players no longer at the level required (Hazard, Toby, Verts, Mertens, Witsel). Problem is I'm not sure most of the replacements are good enough.

Relying on De Bruyne to make them tick and he's not been on it so they're suffering.

The offside law has never been feet only before and to be fair to VAR here you can actually score with your head. Those armpit offsides where it's debateable whether you're even allowed to score with the body part in question is one thing, a head in front is another matter.

Though I wouldn't disagree with an offside law that was changed to measuring feet only.

Agree but had offside in the past ever given because an arm is ahead of the defender? Feet only would be without error.

Can say the golden generation failed but the only tournament they were probably best placed for was 2018, and they lost to France. Since then the defence has been done, Hazard’s been crocked and Lukaku’s been up and down. Still a tremendous achievement for such a relatively small nation.
