More goals than crouch has managed.
Given his form when he left, there was absolutely no guarantee of that.
More goals than crouch has managed.
I just think that Keane, when on form, us a more creative player than Crouch, and is able to provide for the team, not just for himself.that's debateable at best and you failed to answer the question properly as one of our other strikers already has more goals that Crouch
I'm not talking statistics either I'm talking in terms of what they'd bring to the team overall the way they play
I just think that Keane, when on form, us a more creative player than Crouch, and is able to provide for the team, not just for himself.
Perhaps it is also important to remember that Crouch isn't only an attacking 'weapon', defensively from set pieces he is a very important beanpole.
I fully understand your position and agree with you that Keano has been a great player for us
My main issue is the way anyone who says anything negative about Keano gets imediately jumped on and dubbed a mindless fool with the memory of an alzheimer's patient
I appreciate Keano and all he's done for Tottenham I just feel we don't need him anymore just like he felt he didn't need us anymore when the scousers came in for him
does that make me an ungrateful bastard?
Yes.
He's a more prolific and highly respected wanker than thou. :grin:I'll take a leaf out of Martin Jols book when dealing with you
Am I allowed to call you a wanker? No
Am I allowed to think you're a wanker? You can think what you want
Well I think you're a wanker
I personally thought that Keane and Defoe looked pretty good at the start of the season and we were certainly winning as many games and playing a more entertaining brand of football than we did with Crouch and Defoe.
The problem was, Harry splashed out on Crouch and had to find a way to accommodate him and he was never going to drop Defoe, leaving Keane on the bench and looking for a way out.
There was numerous times during the dreary months of Crouch and Defoe that one or both of them should have been hauled off and Keane / Pav given more chances but unfortunately they weren't because they were Harry's guys.
Thank god Pav has made it impossible for Harry to drop him at the moment because Defoe and Crouch is combination I never look forward to seeing up front.
What's 'really really bizarre' about combining Keane with the most Berbs-esque striker we have at the moment?
Even you with your ridiculous anti-Keane bias can't think that Berbs and Keane weren't the best striking partnership we have had in years...
I assumed everyone, apart from the usual suspects, thought Burnley played like it was jumpers for goalposts, as they had done in previous away games, and that Keane had missed enough chances to make it 6.but Keane scored 4 against Burnley and we all thought "yes! here we go, the old keane is back".... then nothing, natta, zip, absolutely shit he was.
I felt the same about Kanu at WBA. Why did Harry bother buying him, when it was obvious that he was all worn out and decrepit? What are the people who think Robbie Keane is past it doing in this thread because its pretty obvious they must have also felt the same about Eidur because he has been crap since he left Barca and is now too old at 31.
Is Gudjohnsen's contract at Monaco up at the end of the season?
