What if Chelsea match Levy's valuation for Harry Kane? Does he sell? Or does he sell to City or United for far less?
He should. Kane should bring in as much as possible. If Kane actually WANTED to go to Chelscum it would speak far louder about him, then about Levy for selling to them.

Looking at it from another angle, I don't have anything against Kane even if he chose Chelscum. He has been loyal to the club until it is evident that Levy's promises have been BS. Kane will not have the same degree of loyalty to any other club; so whichever he sees has the best possibility for him to win some tophies and whichever pays the best would be a fair choice for him.

What are these promises that Levy has made that I keep hearing people refer to? I'm sure he hasn't made promises to Kane himself beyond regularly increasing his salary to match his status at the club

He's been at Spurs most of his life, he knows if he joins Chelsea what the consequences will be. His life will be made hellish by some. It might be more understandable if Chelsea were on City's level, but he's far from guaranteed to win anything there. Poch said he'd never manage Barca because of his Espanyol stint...players and managers can have loyalty if they feel a strong affinity with a club. I'd be pretty disappointed if Harry didn't.

I’m sorry but if he joined Chelsea it would show he has no loyalty to Spurs. There are plenty of clubs outside London who want him and any claim by City or United that they can’t afford him are false.

General consensus at the time was that we’d wish Sol Campbell well if he fucked off to Man United to win trophies. Just as long as he didn’t do something stupid like join Arsenal! :ROFLMAO:

Oh, how we laughed at the very idea.

Do we trust the Levy to reinvest the sale of Kane back into the team? If he does, wouldn't be surprise if he buys 12 players and thinks he's done great business.
Ideally a sale should be satisfactory to both parties and give equal benefit to both. For anything like that to happen we would need big money for Kane. £100 million would not be enough to get adequate replacements.

I feel it is extremely illoyal of Kane to do this interview with Neville, before the season has ended. Now we know where the story about Kane wanting to leave stems from! Neville has leaked it to Sky Sports and Sky sports made a meal of it. I lost a lot of respect for Kane due to this. We need to win at Leicester and Kane is not in the right frame of mind, and should be dropped! I hope Levy squeezes all he can out of any club buying him. If he goes to another English team he will be a foe rather than a hero in my mind!

What really pisses me off is that the media who had been baying for Kane to leave as he would not win anything playing for us have been proved correct.

Especially when you consider he's one of the top Goal scorers in world football. Has THREE years still left on his contract. Two years ago, there were numbers being banded around in the £200m+ bracket. He's a better player this year than ever before. In Kane's own words. he still has 6 or 7 years left in his career. IMO, MINIMUM £130m. Can't afford it? Good. He stays. Don't tell me that the country that owns City can't afford it. That's BS. To Tottenham Hotspur he is still worth upwards of £200m, he's worth that to us.

It would be close – not quite, but close to 'Cambell-esque'. Ain't gunna happen though. He truly has Spurs in his heart. He gets it.

He'd be guaranteed to win trophies at Chelsea. But not as many as he would with City. And City would guaranty the Prem

He had THREE cup finals including the CL to win major silverware. He is partially at fault for failing. Time to get those rose tinted glasses off. I mean he was shit, SHIT in all of them. So were most of the others but that doesn't make Kane a victim. Just a co-culprit.

100 million is a joke number for a player of his caliber. And should England win the Euros then his price goes up another 50
on top of whatever price it was originally.

I agree totally. Kane has no respect for us and should be dropped on Sunday. Always knew that Neville was a snidey little weasel.

What fucking roses tinted glasses. While a I agree with your argument, (I honestly do as that has always been my stance) it has no correlation to what I said about the media, because with or without him, we have won fuck all.

He wouldn't be guaranteed trophies at Chelsea though - Man City is the only PL team where he would be.

Chelsea are currently 16 points off top and that's the closest they've been to a PL title in four years, yet they're closer to 11th than 1st. They were 33 points off the pace last season, 26 points the year before that and 30 points before that - despite outspending some of the teams that have out performed them.
It could be argued that they've closed the gap this season, but that was down to Man City having a slow start that they have now very much redeemed themselves from. Man City have far better odds than Chelsea of winning the league next season, even if they don't replace Aguero (but we all expect them to sign Haaland, if not Kane).

Like us, Chelsea has lost their last couple of cup finals. Even if they win the CL this season (which does nothing to help Kane's trophy aspirations), the probability of them repeating that within the next few years is relatively low.

Chelsea may increase Kane's odds of winning a trophy, compared to staying put, but he's come out and said he wants to be winning trophies "every season". I can't see Chelsea being the solution for that, whereas Man City, Bayern or PSG very much would be.
