By the time I entered all the 'good' jokes were taken :-(

Could have done a play on words with our former owner Alan Sugar, as in Sugar Cane.

Or about discipline under Twitchy, as in "if Keane doesn't stop waving his hands Arry will bring out the Cane"

Or one for ole Gibbsy, as in "hope the players celebrate the win last night, by going out and getting Caned"

Plenty, plenty of scope there.

Interestingly, google images of Harry Kane bring up amongst others, the following

Harry Kane is primarily a second or deep lying striker, and an excellent prospect.

However, I'm pretty confident that Ryan Mason, who scored 29 goals in 31 games for our Academy last season in the second striker role, who recently made a successful debut for England U19, and is getting good reviews on loan at Yeovil, would be ahead of Kane in the pecking order if he was currently at Spurs.

Gio Dos Santos would also be ahead of him for a second striker role, if he was fit.

The good news is that we have so many good young players on the club's books. Another young striker who started for us last season, Jon Obika, is now playing for England U20s and is also on loan at Yeovil.

I'm sure 16-year-old Harry Kane will never forget last night, and hopefully he will continue to develop and get more opportunities in the future.

I was just thinking the same thing. One of those roll of the tonge footballer names.

Sure to be famous eh ??

Yup. Its a toss up as to whether it'll be due to him being a premier league footballer, WW2 spitfire pilot or a pornstar.

I'd have thought Parrett is even higher in that order?

Parrett is a midfielder, not a second striker.

Jansson, Caulker, Bostock, Parrett, Mason, Obika, Townsend, Adam Smith - all of them have a chance of making good professional careers. If two of them make it at Spurs, that will be an excellent result. A couple more may have careers like Mark Yeates or Luke Young.

Interestingly, Kudos Oneyuga appeared to be ahead of Harry Kane in the first year Academy striker stakes - he played for the reserves last year, and did very well for the Academy as an U15. Until last weekend that is, when he was dropped to the bench and Kane played up top with PJ M'poku as second striker. In front of our coaching staff:

It was a sunny morning with plenty of people about. We had Ferdinand, Sherwood and young Redknapp watching the first half with Allen and Harry joining for the second. Sir Les was told off for wearing a white top during the first half as he was in the linesman's eyeline.

My money's been on Mason for about 2 years, I'll actually feel a bit let down if he doesn't make it. Him and Townsend are the ones I have highest hopes for. I'll be sure to visit and u18 game soon to check out Kane.

I've got very high hopes for Mason, when I saw him last year for our U18s I was very impressed with him. I'd hate him to be consigned to the scrap heap of classy, skilful players who 'aren't tall/strong enough'. I also think Smith the RB looked excellent when I saw him.

I like Harry Kane for no other reason than his name.

I'll go for Caulker. Spoke with a Yeovil fan just the other day who was saying that the kid has done great since he has been there. Strong and imposing and a good head on his shoulders. An almost ever present for them as a CB in a physically demanding League 1 at the age of 17.
