Look through this thread and you will see plenty. Apparently it’s Levy’s fault
This has moved at pace so if I have missed any then so be it. But from what I saw I didn't see anyone justifying not turning up if he was meant to.

Imagine the shit show if this was Pogba trying to do the same to get his move to PSG.

But for some odd reason the media are basically supporting Kane.

Rio posted this but in typical ex player form backtracked minutes later.

From trying to engineer his move and his transfer cost in that stupid interview with Neville, to now not turning up for training. What a fucking idiot. Completely unprofessional.

Kanes behaviour in this saga has been so poor. Its not the clubs fault that he signed a long contract with no release fee clauses. Nor is it the clubs fault city are offering at least £50 mil less than he's worth.

Absolute unreal player for us. But its funny how behaving like he is can turn fans against him. Right now I can't stand him. He is not bigger than the club.

Taking Laporte is just helping them get rid of a player they don't want.
On the flip-side we'd be acquiring a player we desperately need. I'd definitely take him in part of a deal, but I can't see him wanting to come to us.

It's a fact, not sure where this so called 'virtue signalling' was taken into it?
It's not a fact. There has been plenty of support for both Alli, Ndombele and Aurier on this site and on Twitter as well. And that's why it's virtue signalling. Because the poster is more concerned with showing the world that he's not a racist (but for someone who's not a racist, he's very focused on race) than with being factually correct.

I don't think that really is acceptable imo. 120-140 + Laporte would be to me. Laporte seems ready to leave being 3rd choice now, plus it would give us our ball-playing LCB to pair with Romero.
I think we need to set a standard here and say that it's money or nothing.

City, and clubs like them, often get there way around things by offering unwanted players or players they are happy to lose, and that tells you something.

By standing our ground and only accepting the money we expect, we then do a service to football because we stop these clubs from throwing their weight around. We need to stand up to the underhand tactics that will be used too. We need to behave like a big rival club in this respect.

Taking Laporte is just helping them get rid of a player they don't want.

Same goes for Ake but10 times worse.
And yet he was one of Spain's top performers at the Euros. He's a great player at a position of need for us, and would be a perfect partner for Romero. It's one thing to turn our nose up at the likes of Ake but there are a handful of players on City's bench that would improve us and Laporte is one of them.

The club need to take a hard line with him… either:

he can leave if City or another club pay the full asking price, or
if not and he continues to go on strike then the club will make an example of him and freeze him out for the 3 remaining years of his contract. Effectively ruining his career and setting a precedent that no player is bigger than the club.

City will never ever include a player in part of a deal to us. Never. They will only pay us with filthy cash, not together with any of their players. They did not even want to deal with us for Sancho. And now I am so pissed at them for that.

Dragon 1 on COYS re “The Gentleman’s Agreement.”

He had a gentleman’s agreement last summer he could go if offer over 100 came and we were not in the cl

we rejected city’s bid of 100 a month ago and Harry has been sulking since

daniel will dig his heels in now no way will they force a move for 100 now

150-160 we may have a conversation but will be under our terms

expect Harry to be fined two weeks wages

Either £100m + Laporte + Cancelo or
£180m cash, no negotiating. If they don't meet it by our deadline, he stays.

Similar to Dortmund last season- they gave United a price and a deadline, United didn't meet it and so he stayed.

Laporte or Cancelo would be great but neither will want to come to us

If this ends with us accepting £100mill or less + Ake I will be livid. Laporte is the only defender we should demand in a deal if it comes to it.
You do realise Levy is on our side don’t you?! ?

If there’s one thing I’m confident in, it’s Levy handling this with a stand firm not for sale or a rinse of Citeh for a moohosive fee.

To be honest, I don't want any City players, no matter how good they are.
I want us to make this process as painful, difficult and expensive for them as possible.

Rio is spot on- Pogba would get destroyed by the media imo.

Rio only backtracked afterwards because BT Sport pay his wages.

He's correct but I wish he and others would stick to their opinion and not cover the bases by backtracking.

'England captain refuses to turn up for training because he wants a move' - I'm waiting for that headline.
