I honestly don’t believe that Levy would put a figure like that on a player in a “gentleman’s agreement.”

Gentleman’s relish more like.

At that point why not just include it in the contract? Would also make sure it would not come to this, as per Dragon the "agreement" was only valid last summer.

No, he didn't.
First off, they didn't bid over 100m and secondly, he didn't state how much over 100m that bid would need to be.
Let's face it, Kane having a storming season last year would've raised his price in anyone's book too.

We don't even know that £100m is correct - I struggle to believe Levy would have placed that, or any price on him. He's not that silly

If Kane walking away from a meeting, after Levy stating it would take more than 100m, thinking that he meant to price WAS 100m...well, more fool him.

The guy is an idiot if he really thought there was a chance that he could leave for £100m this summer.

Well it’s clear him and Charlie aren’t the sharpest knives in the drawer are they.

From trying to engineer his move and his transfer cost in that stupid interview with Neville, to now not turning up for training. What a fucking idiot. Completely unprofessional.

Kanes behaviour in this saga has been so poor. Its not the clubs fault that he signed a long contract with no release fee clauses. Nor is it the clubs fault city are offering at least £50 mil less than he's worth.

Absolute unreal player for us. But its funny how behaving like he is can turn fans against him. Right now I can't stand him. He is not bigger than the club.

Totally agree.

Kane's been amazing for us and I fully understand his desire to win something... but... he signed the contract so it's up to City to come up with an acceptable offer. If they don't, he stays... period.

I hate to say it but I'm actually getting to the point where I hope City do stump up so that we can fuck him off and fund the rebuild.

It's a joke how the media make it sound like Levy keep Harry caged up in his basement. He's amongst the worlds most priviliged people and signed a very lucrative 6 year deal with Spurs ffs!
This is the biggest nugget of truth the media/people conveniently decide to forget. He signed it, it was a big fucking deal and a long contract.
Harry my boy, get your head straight and sort your shit out.

To be honest, with Charlie Kane’s record so far I wouldn’t be surprised he failed to grasp this

Dragon 1 on COYS re “The Gentleman’s Agreement.”

He had a gentleman’s agreement last summer he could go if offer over 100 came and we were not in the cl

we rejected city’s bid of 100 a month ago and Harry has been sulking since

daniel will dig his heels in now no way will they force a move for 100 now

150-160 we may have a conversation but will be under our terms

expect Harry to be fined two weeks wages
Sounds like there's some ambiguity in that. A reasonable person would not expect that to mean 'The first offer at or just over £100m', but that bids start at that price and that in principle if an appropriate offer was made a deal could be done.

If Harry (or his 'agent') thinks that Levy was basically putting a price of £100m on him (with 3 years left on his contract) then he has been very naïve. Even Harry himself must have some idea of his own worth and couldn't possibly be expecting the club to do him some kind of favour and let him go for the same price as Grealish, and only a bit more than Bale was worth eight years ago.

No chance that Levy said that £100m or just over was enough, especially during a pandemic where we lost a lot of money.

Thing is. After all of this who wants him hear now?

More importantly if /when he goes, who’s putting him in FF team?

I‘ve told my lot I’m not bothering this year lol as if he’s gonna be top points scorer for Man City I just don’t wanna know.

Wouldnt want him in my team giving others the advantage straight away,

Not knocking Dragon, but I'm having a hard time believing Levy would value Kane at 100 Million. He is arguably the best striker in football at the moment. Didn't Levy value Alli or Eriksen (If to be believed), at 150million when they were in their prime?. You can pick faults at Levy, but with our prime talent (Berbatov, Carrick, Modric, Bale etc) he has got a substantial fee and pretty much what they are worth. I can't see him lowering Kane's fee on a basis of a 'gentleman's agreement'

So we said we would let Kane go for over 100m but then Kane went and played his best season and his value went up. That's his own fault, he should have played shit.

Gentleman's agreement that he could go for over £100m...

Harry Kane hasn't been worth that little for about 4 years

Seems laughably vague if true.

Funny if Kane's team turned around and said well £100m and 1p is enough then...

Only for Levy to turn around and say. "Oh no you misunderstand... By over £100m I meant something beginning with a 2 ;)
