According to the Chairman of Kitchee, Kane was not feeling well when he arrived at Hong Kong. Kind of unacclimatized and was in the hospital because of dehydration. But he still played 15 mins and scored a goal.
Was that because he'd promised local fans that HK would be in the starting XI, and needed to explain things? Wouldn't be the first time that sort of promo trick has been used in the world of football.

Benzema is quality and certainly not overrated.

In previous seasons he's been a very consistent goal scorer but the team is geared around Ronaldo scoring most of the goals and getting the glory.

Plus I think this season Benzema may have had a few injuries, certainly in summer as Morata was being used.

Plus Benzema has had this dodgy blackmail stuff hanging over him (which makes him seem to be a very dodgy character lol).

Interesting to see if he ever gets back into French squad, although their squad is a bit weird as Lacazette doesn't seem to get a look in and would think he was their best centre forward nowdays?

Mourinho ruined Benzema, not CR7.

He played the same way for France during that period, his natural goals instincts have gone.

Don't know. But Kane did not go to the nightclub before and after the match like most of the team mates, according to local paper.

Apropos of nothing very much, I remember standing next to a bloke on an airport transfer bus in HK 20 years or so ago, and thought he looked a bit like Malcolm Alison. Goofily, when he realised I was kind of staring a bit, I said "you look a bit like Malcolm Alison". He replied "that's because I am Malcolm Alison", and his whole cheeky, likable personality shone through. It turned out he was giving a talk at the HKFC that evening, or maybe the next day - to which I went. Great man, captivating speaker. Anyway, back to the present....

Nooooooo don't call him CR7 that's what them weird fanboys do who frequent the internet and spend their days arguing that he's better than Messi! :nailbiting::nailbiting:

I called him that because Benzema at Lyon was like Ronaldo instead of the False Nine he is today.

I think Benzema - like Rooney - had his natural instincts coached out of him. Watch match compilations of the two at the early years of their careers and you see two incredibly built, powerful and fearless strikers. Benzema in particular was being compared with Ronaldo [R9].

As the years have gone by you can't say that really as their roles on the pitch have been shifted wide or deep and their style of play is based around facilitating others.

This is Benzema aged 20 against prime Vidic and Ferdinand:

Put Kane in the Barca team and see how many he gets playing the likes of Granada.
Probably the same amount that he scored against Leicester or Hull...

Look at Messi's chances created as well, he's in a league of his own.
