Leeds fans spotted a Harry Kane lookalike serving behind a bar before their match with Sheffield Wednesday today.

So in true Leeds fans style, they started singing rude songs about him.

Video below.

You've got to give the Leeds fans a lot of credit there. They may not understand basic punctuation, but they've absolutely mastered the art of taking a photo of someone at a funny angle.

Looking at the stats page linked in the second paragraph of that Kane's PL goals per game rate back in March was 0.64, behind Aguero on 0.67 and Terry Handball on 0.68. After yesterday he's now on 0.7 with Aguero on 0.68, which presumably makes Kane the best goals per game ratio of any PL player in history.

Kane was at 0.69 before the current season started, boosted by the many goals towards the end of last season.
Good to see him keep his ratio up and even improve.
He's now likely to take Alan Shearer's record of most PL goals scored in a calendar year too.
Stay at Spurs and avoid serious injury then the total record will easily fall.

Disappointing that Garth Crooks could not go through the BBC team of the week without saying about going to Real Madrid, even if he's put it into some context.

Good notes on Trippier and Davies too

Kane's performances at the moment remind me of the form Gareth Bale was in when he had that unbelievable purple patch at Spurs some years ago. Let's hope for Tottenham's sake he doesn't end up at Real Madrid. It's not out of the question if he carries on at this rate

Afraid he's only 0.68. Damn those 3 games at Norwich.

Harry Kane is "obsessed" with being the best striker in the world, says Ryan Mason

Last Updated: 03/10/17

Former Tottenham midfielder Ryan Mason believes Harry Kane is "obsessed" with becoming the best striker in the world.

Kane has looked unstoppable of late, having scored 17 goals in September to take his tally to 36 strikes in 2017.

And, speaking on Sky Sports' The Debate, former team-mate Mason insisted such form is a result of plenty of hard work on the training ground, and a determination to be the very best striker in the world.

"Harry is just obsessed," Mason said. "After his first breakthrough year at Spurs, where he scored so many goals, his mindset changed. Now, he has set his sights on being the best striker in the world. There aren't many better than him in the world right now.

"The work he has put in is starting to pay off now, and people are starting to see what a great player he has become.

"If you looked at Harry when he was 19 or 20, you would have looked at him and thought he was a bit heavy, he didn't really have that turn of pace. He realised that and has been working on his body for years. Now, he gets away from defenders. He is an animal, a beast up front. From a physical point of view there isn't a weakness."

Pep Guardiola, somewhat mischievously, labelled Tottenham the "Harry Kane team" when discussing Manchester City's title rivals at the weekend, but the Mail on Sunday's Oliver Holt believes Guardiola's comments should be taken positively by the England striker, and believes there is more to Tottenham than just the Kane's abilities.

Hull City midfielder Mason, who is still recovering from a severe head injury, also had words of praise for his former manager at Tottenham Mauricio Pochettino, hailing the Argentine's personable approach as one of the main reason's for Spurs' success.

"He puts great trust in his players and encourages them to express themselves," Mason added.

"I cannot speak highly enough of him. When he came in, he invited me round for dinner with my fiancée. He was there with his wife and two sons, and we were just speaking as friends. It is that connection he builds away from football is the biggest compliment to him."

"It is a massive compliment to Harry Kane, and so it should be - he has been unbelievable in September," Holt told The Debate. "He is a fantastic player, but if you devote all your time to Kane then Dele Alli or Christian Eriksen will hurt you. It is too simplistic to suggest Spurs are a one-man team.

I love that Kane is greedy. I also hate that Kane in greedy.

If he can just manage that fine line between passing and shooting we will win the league.

It's a funny one, it's hard to fault his team work when he forever drops deep or out wide, receives the ball under pressure and then players Carrick esque passes, but once he's within 30 yards of goal he gets tunnel vision.

Very much a trait of the great strikers, and I wouldn't want him to lose his seemingly insatiable hunger to score goals, but I think he's got it in him to tone it down just enough to see the extra pass that would open things up and give us a better chance to score.

Agreed. Huddersfield's goalie miskick being a good example.

Yup. Perfect example. He was single-minded in his desire to score from that error. It didn't make a lick of difference in the end, but it was a perfect opportunity to play in one of his teammates for an easy goal.
