Does this mean 100m Euros (£86m), made up of the fee and add-ons, or the 100m Euros and add ons are on top?

Yeah given their previous offers it sounds like £86m potential final fee. Not enough!

Agree. But who knows what happens now

This whole thing seems like a game or some kind of ego boast to these people. I mean when interested in a player, isn't there some sort of dialog with regards to the fee?
So for instance BM would have made contact with Spurs to ask what sort of fee they would be willing to accept for Kane. Levy said 100m of nothing. BM have already made contact with Kane and knows that he would be happy to remain at the club but would really be very interested in joining BM this season. Why then would BM think that they can get the player for less? I mean if Kane said to them that he is willing to push for a move then the balance moves in BM's favour and maybe they could shave that 20m off the asking price.
Is this not a waste of time for both the clubs and the player?
I doubt they've had much contact at all with Kane himself. Just Charlie Kane productions ltd.

What's baffling to me is that Bayern could almost certainly afford even €120m+ if they wanted to. If they want Kane, this is their one chance to get him and (say) €20m extra on their Monday offer, while a lot of money in objective terms, wouldn't normally be a dealbreaker for getting a world class striker, perhaps the best striker in the world right now.

If he comes and they win the CL then they'll think it was a sound investment.
Of course they can afford it. But they also have to justify it to themselves, and their shareholders inc the fans.

And it seems that they simply don’t think he is worth the money they would need to pay.

I’d say age is one key reason (simply don’t know how his body holds up as he moves beyond 30 even if he isn’t reliant on pace) as are previous injuries - albeit not been as much a problem over last three years). Also consider whether he would settle in a new country.

Well regardless of the outcome really does seem like today is the day.

Fucking hope so. Such a shit saga.
Agree but then at the same time, expect this underlying Kane leaving narrative building over the course of the season so it might just be short respite.

Well done Bayern - had the chance to get the best striker in the world but thought you could bully a Premier League club, and the one run by a Mr D Levy at that. Very silly - looks like you might have screwed this up.

IF it doesn't happen - I can't wait to see the fallout/reversal from the German media.

How very Spursy Munichy:LOL:

Think Sky are confusingly translating how much 100 euros is in pounds and the amount Bayern have bid over that is still unclear.

This charade has Charlie Kane written all over it. Another Chuckles masterclass. Like the one hes just had getting Harry to leave the the biggest athletic brand in the world for Sketchers, which is about a half rung above Keds at the bottom of the ladder.

Blame lies firmly with Bayern if they don't get this over the line.

I’ll be really surprised (pleasantly surprised) if he is still here when we start the season. The improved bid along with the deadline point in one direction

Nike might be the biggest brand in the world but I don't see why you'd sign with them for that fact alone. If Sketchers or whoever else was paying more money and making boots of an equivalent quality id 100% go with them personally.

In fact I'd actively encourage moving away from Nike if it was my client.

Feel pretty comfortable whichever way it turns out at this point.

We either stick it to Bayern massively and get another year of Kane or get a very decent fee for him.

I don't think there is any "blame" if a deal does not get done.

It just means everyone had a different valuation of the player. Not the first time, nor the last.

Bayern are willing buyers at a certain price - if that is not a price Spurs are willing to accept, then it appears that all parties are willing to walk away.

It's still strange, though, that they would let the transfer get away over 'just' fourteen mill if they are serious about signing Kane.

Kane's salary will be something like twenty mill a year. So even at eighty-six mill fee, the total deal must be worth more like one hundred and eighty-six mill to Bayern. Fourteen mill is about 7.5% of that.
