Lucky we only need to get 5th to get into the champions league then....
It doesn't matter, the point was I don't think he stays even with Champions League football. 12th place could get you CL football and it wouldn't get him to sign a new deal, he wants trophies not to compete in a competition none of us believe we can realistically win.

'cept we wouldn't be in this mess with Kane not wanting to continue on if Levy had backed high performance and a balanced squad of suitable players for each position... Kane would be convinced and would have signed ages ago... Levy just likes brinkmanship... but the problem is his own creation.

This is great PR for Levy. His "standing up" to Bayern is probably the most popular he has been since hiring Conte.

Hate this saying...but don't do it to yourselves.

He'll probably play the first few games, helping us maximise points, whilst Levy rinses Bayern for every last penny...and then leaves on deadline day for a British record transfer fee.

I know we all love to give Levy shit, but he has balls of steel. His decision making is questionable at times, but I don't think he's put a foot wrong regarding the Kane situation this Summer.
Yeh if listen hard you can hear him clanking down Hotspur Way as his nuts bang together....
in fact he can play a tune, .......................at the moment its HArry Nilson .....'I cant live if living is without you"
before that it was Crocketts Theme from Miami Vice

Only after Levy mugged them right off and ignored it
I am not sure Levy is mugging anyone off though? Right throughout there seems to be an open line of communication. Also many journalists have said that the relationship between the clubs is good.

I love it. Levy has got Bayern to the price he wanted. Then fucked off to Miami 'Big Willy Style' and has upped it again.

Bayern are absolute muppets for trying to get him on the cheap. Do they not realise who he is? He’d take the team they have into ones with a huge chance of winning the CL. If they don’t sign him now there’s not a chance Kane will go there on a free after they clearly didn’t go the extra mile to sign him when they could.

The way I see it…

we stand a far greater chance of qualifying for champions league football this season with Kane on board. The money the club will receive as a result will easily make up for the £100m lost if he walks for free at the end of the season.

I don't disagree it's a risk but I think it's a risk worth taking. We could realistically win the league or FA Cup, and finish in top 4 with Harry around. If we do that and there is a buzz around the team again, that looks like we could push on to really start challenging in the champions league and prem then maybe he might sign another contract.

It's hard to know the ceiling of this team until the season kicks off, considering we have a new manager, style of play, and several new/young players. But we'll have a better chance of kicking on if we keep Harry this season, I don't think that is up for debate.

Haha, people running around the thread like they've just snorted a couple of lines. Seeing as every story and even the slightest event gets taken as fact, It won't be long before the downer hits :D

I reckon Bayern will come back with a bigger offer. If they are ready to spend over 100 million euros for Kane I doubt that another 20 million would stop them.
