I'm just pleased that he playing well. If he is good enough to come back and make it, then thats fantastic. If he doesn't, i wish him well where ever he ends up.

Hopefully he does well and goes out on loan to a prem team next season, but he is still young and can be on loan at other prem teams for 2 years and he will only be 20 when he comes back

From the BBC:

Kane - who was superb throughout - completed the rout when he headed in a cross from the left from close range.
The Tottenham youngster, who was not born when Spurs last won the FA Cup in 1991, was at the heart of everything and could yet prove a useful asset for Harry Redknapp.

Clearly a rubbish player that will never make it

The kid needs games to develop, he may/ may not make with us, would be good if he does.
This post is not directed at you waffles, I get your irony.

The opposition is irrelevant to his overall performance - if he'd played badly, mis-placing passes and generally "doing a Pav" then it's a bad performance, no matter who he was up against. In this case, he played very well, as well as scoring and getting assists. It doesn't matter if he was up against D&R or Leeds - he played well.

Reality check FFS

My Millwall mates (of which there are loads) also said he looked very good, bright and hardworking, against Birmingham, and despite them getting trounced he was their best player.

Be very interesting to see how he develops this season.

Well done Harry, keep it up.

Sounds like he is delivering at the level he is currently being asked to play at. Can't ask for more than that. Only a very, very exceptional talent would be playing as a striker in the Premier League at the age of 18. Danny Welbeck is 3 years his senior and only got his chance at PL level last season. And I think we can all accept that he has turned out alright. Kane has a lot of time. Patience.

I believe Kane will come good, whether we have the patience to make it happen at Spurs remains to be seen though. I agree that you can only play what's in front of you, and albeit it's against so called "lesser opposition", it's not that different from drooling over Carlos Kickaballs having super stats in so called "lesser leagues".

Kane has delivered over two seasons in the youth setup, and I think his shortcomings this year has more to do with inexperience, lack of confidence and overly wanting to be a team player than actual ability. He was on fire until he missed the pen against Shamrock, and looked much sharper and were actively seeking teammates on another level than the "proven premiership player" Pavlyuchenko. He also were serviced by more inexperienced players in those games than Pav has been used to.

I'd rather have Kane on the bench than Pav any day.

If my memory serves me right, I think it was against Hearts at WHL.

Although Dagenham is a lower level team, a performance like that will be great for his confidence

Hopefully he can have a productive loan spell at Millwall and his next loan spell can be at a slightly higher level.

Yeah, I could be wrong about that. But anyway he played very well up until then, confident and involved, but perhaps half a second too slow in the thinker (as expected from such a young lad). Better still than being a full minute too slow á la Crouch. I remember being very excited about seeing him play after getting rave reviews for his contribution for the youngsters.

I for one believe that if he had put that penalty away, things might have looked a bit different today. He looked afraid of making mistakes after that. But I still have high hopes for him.

I don't think we'll see Kane make it at Spurs. He seems slow and not intelligent enough to cope without a burst of pace. Some will say I'm going on little evidence, but the lad's 19 years old, it's not like he's 15. His standard at the minute is League 1. I'm sure he can improve, but how much? I can see him as a good Championship player in the future, which isn't bad, just not the heights we are looking for.

I hope I'm wrong, obviously, but I just don't see him becoming anything at Spurs.
