I am as critical as most about Levy but this isn't the time to beat him. He's protecting the club right now. The fact that we declined to a point where Kane wanted to leave is another discussion and frankly even if we were in the CL this season Kane could still be doing this because he wants to join City who almost gurantee major trophies where let's be honest we usually make up the numbers in the major comps.

So I don't buy the Levy criticism. Short of Levy turning us into Man City the last few years, who can guarantee this scenario was not going to play out anyway?

This is solely Kane acting like a ****. How on earth did he ever think we would sell him for 100 million? He is now going to be looked back in history in the same sentence as Van Hoijdonk.

He is an idiot and has been so terribly advised, the buying club aren't willing to meet our asking price, so Kane stays.

I am truly gobsmacked at the hate being slung in Harry's direction. Everything he's ever done for the Club forgotten in a moment because of bollocks thrown about in the media that's probably grossly inaccurate. Everything is landing on Harry's head for the last few years of Levy's mismanagement and Levy walks away without a smear. That's just fucking wrong.

The club being aware of his situation doesn't mean what he's doing is right or even condoned by the club. It just means he's told them why he's not coming in. Everyone else from the Euro's has managed to be back on time for every other club.

It being blown out of proportion could have been shut down in one sentence on twitter, if of course he wanted it to be.

Exactly, the no comment from the club was damning. He has clearly missed two days of training, probably been shocked by the massive backlash from everyone in the game and is backtracking to save face.

Although given that his camp were clearly briefing journos that he was prepared to not ever return to training, something has clearly changed...

Is it though? There are certainly better ways to conduct your business than Harry has shown.

It's clearly not the perfect scenario for Levy when City are so reluctant to pay up and no other club seem interested (or Kane doesn't want to go there).

Harry Kane is very close to not being our problem any more. The problem is getting City to cough up the wonga for him. Unfortunately, they can see what he's done (for all we know, they may even have told him to behave like a complete dick and refuse to train with us any more) and are just sitting back waiting for Levy to crack, and say 'Ah OK, you can have him for the £100 million then' (Yeah, good luck with that idea...)

I'm annoyed we're still paying him a million pounds a month while he's refusing to train with us.

He either goes full rogue or remains professional. These two days are not a marker, they show Kane as extremely naive and backtracking on a mistake and his brother as extremely amateur advising him.

Everyone was saying Kane will always come to preseason and train. That stereotype Kane has been shot down. Same way, they have also put the onus on City. Do you think, they dont know that they will be fined heavily ?

I am cynical - I see this as a calculated move....Lets not turn up for training. If fans dont protest, then staying out keeps pressure on clubs to agree. If fans protest, I take the fine, but the point is made and I go back to training. If move doesnt happen, fans will be happy to take me anyway...

This is how I see it.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with him wanting to leave. That's fair enough. It's his conduct that's pissed people off and is being shown up for what it is - unprofessional and cowardly - by the stark contrast with his younger England teammates like Grealish and Rice.

Well I suppose you are right. Harry did help us win the Audi Cup. We’ll always have that.

brother or not, Harry’s been represented absolutely terribly throughout this whole debacle, stumbling from one PR disaster to the next, all seems like a complete mess

You get the impression he thought there would be more people saying that he should get his move rather than pointing out what a **** he is. So he let it ride, then they have all realised they couldn’t get the lid back on it that easily.
