Can we not just be happy that it looks like the. worlds best striker is with us for another season? Pretty sure you’ll all forgive him pretty quickly when he starts hitting the back of the net for us again.
The world’s best striker doesn’t want to play for us any more.
I think it’s somewhat delusional to think that, if he doesn’t move, he will perform at the same level he has done in the previous seasons.
He may be a professional, but his head has been turned and once that happens it’s ultimately game over.

FWIW, he may still be here when we play City, but come 1st September I don’t think he will,

Would love to see him gone. Ahhh that felt nice. Not the most insightful or contributive post I realise. So… migratory birds have a substance in their eyes that allows them to sense the earth’s electromagnetic field, thereby providing them with a true sixth sense.

Also ghosts are real.

No better than Campbell now for me. YEP. Similar glaze of inscrutable imbecility too.

He has essentially called out us - the supporters - I don’t know how he comes back from that. I’ve lost all respect for him, the only thing that makes me want him to stay is that there is no clear alternative out there. If we could guarantee right now we could sign a semi decent striker I’d happily drive him to the etihad so he can as some have eloquently put it - lose his virginity to a prostitute.

A week is a long time in football… this time last week hoping he wouldn’t leave to today hoping he leaves for £160m and is miserable for next 10 years

I disagree, I think once he has accepted he's staying himself he'll commit, if not for the team but for himself to try and push a transfer next summer when the price is closer to the £100m City might pay..

If he is that desperate to leave next year he won't purposely play shit to try and force a move, otherwise City won't want him.

This could all of been put to bed on day one…it wasn’t…..the fact that it has come to this is a crying shame, and a mismanagement of epic proportions..I love him as a player, he’s up there with the best I’ve seen and I’ve been privileged to see some truly world class players….but I don’t see how he comes back from this..a truly great player totally tarnished…

I'd love it if the club posted a story now saying that Kane has been fined the maximum amount for staying away from training and then reiterate that he is not for sale and has three years of his contract to run. Then privately tell Kane he has upset Joe Lewis off so much he has zero chance of a move unless City stump up a word record fee (i.e. £200M). Come on Levy - turn the screw and show him for what he is.
I think , the only way Kane can somehow repair the damage he has caused, is to agree to a new 4 or 5 year contract with us.

I get you, except there's been alot of noise coming out that Levy went back on a promise.,... hopefully the truth will come out soon.

That's not strictly fair, we don't know what was promised. But, what we do know is City made a derisory offer and have made no indication of actually making a sensible bid.

Promise, no promise, there is NO chance Levy would ever have agreed to sell him cheap.

Personally, I think its a case of Levy agreeing to let him go if City pay. Its City Kane should be annoyed with.

Anyway, I'm done. No player is bigger than the club. Stay, go. I'm past caring.

The more I read Harrys statement the more I want Dier to break him in half during his first training session. His hearts at City. No doubt about that.

Agree. IF there was a promise it would have been along the lines of "Give us another year and we'll let you go if we get an acceptable offer". Now if the Clown Brothers didn;t understand what he meant by acceptable offer that's on them.

The Neville interview is even more damning now;

GN: "Do you think you are at that crossroads now where you have to talk to the chairman about your future? How do you think that conversation will go?"

HK: "Yeah I think so. I don't know what that conversation will be like, he might want to sell me if he gets £100m for me. But in the end its up to me and its about whats best for me and my career. I don't want to have regrets when I retire"
