I think that top CFs at smaller clubs tend to score a larger % of that teams goals (as the rest of the team are not of the same quality and / or are more focused on defensive aspects. Also, when they move to a bigger club, they tend to be playing with 1 or 2 other forwards of similar quality, so the goals are shared around more. Additionally the players tend to pass to better placed team mates more once playing in better teams. Lastly, there is also the chance that players who took penalties at smaller clubs do not get to take them at the bigger clubs. Although given City's bad form with penalties, it is probably one reason they really want Kane!
Very good points.

If Kane goes to City then chances are he'll be a big part of them achieving at an even higher level. I assume he'll continue to take pens if he goes there.

Kane has just had one of his best ever seasons for us but was nowhere near his best season for goals. So it is very plausible that he'll score more at City.

Some journo called McGarry claiming that 'personal terms have been agreed' between Kane and Citeh (surely not allowed, but no one seems to care about rules anymore) and all that remains is for 'Daniel Levy to agree the fee'. What fucking fee is he supposed to be agreeing to?
The thought of levy rushing to agree to Citeh's miserable £100m bid made me giggle over my Olympic porridge.
Probably the 130 million and possibly Silva or add ons?

I'd like twelvty million and Foden please.

Levy hasn't handled this situation well at all. Standard from the idiot I guess. We should cash in on Kane and let him leave on decent terms. We need to rebuild and there are bargains to be had in Europe this season. Huge bargains. Should have wrapped this up 3 weeks ago but levy got to levy and we are weaker from this fools incompetence.
Thought you weren't allowed two accounts on here but I've managed to find Blockbuster's with ease.

Well, I never said any of those things were bad. And I like statistics too.

But I see this place as an informative forum, where it's sometimes fun to discuss things with people I have something in common with - not necessarily to debate constantly.

You may see things differently, which is your perogative, but maybe be a little more chill from time to time.
Certainly a fair comment.

I mostly ignore posts that aren't within my interest. If I didn't want to debate a point then I wouldn't quote someone and counter them if they are debating a point.

These threads get very repetitive. I thought someone looking into something a bit deeper would be welcomed.

Would people accept this deal? (If true).

I'd be tempted as I'd value Silva at £40M and he is a cracking player. However, I do not think Silva improves us enough to justify it. WFs look very good in Man City's system. I do not think he would contribute 15 goals from RWF, which if we were losing Kane's goals we would need.

I'd take Silva without even thinking about it. But i'm pretty sure I read somewhere a few weeks ago that he wanted to go to Spain so it's not a given that he'd want to come here.

Thanks for that and I think I can say in all honesty that £120m in Paratici's hands could easily equate to £150m in anybody else's regarding transfer negotiations. He won't waste it.

Stop wasting time and snap their hands off for that deal, I’m firmly in the camp of need to move Kane on provided we get good value. That offer looks like good value.

As someone who has depression, PTSD and suicidal thoughts I suggest you to chill out. No need to be rude. This is a discussion thread. And the guy just made his suggestion. It may be very stupid but it doesn't give you any rights to tell him these things
Sorry I don't go along with this. Mental health should be treated with the same understanding as physical health. "Playing the Simone Biles card" is a shitty and ignorant take. We have a mental health crisis in this country and everyone knows multiple people who struggle with theirs. It's not a choice and it's certainly not a card you can pull if you just don't fancy it.

Sorry to hear about your own issues and I understand that yes maybe I was rude, but I'm tired of seeing people comfortable being so flippant about the reality of living with mental health disorders.

One of the things we all can do to help is to attempt to remove the stigma around mental health (the social stigma for me is one of the most difficult things about being "mentally unwell") so I don't feel the least bit apologetic about calling out thoughtless comments.

He is a great player. I just think back to when we played Monaco a few years ago and he kind of tore us a new one (along with the rest of the Monaco team). If he's up for it, we're getting a serial winner, who would, arguably and IMO, contribute more than, say Bergwijn or Moura in that position.

Plus a more than appropriate amount to invest in a new CF or 2.

I'd 100% name him on the bench v city.

Let everyone know he's still our player.

I would love that to happen. In addition I would have Scarlett on the bench and for him to come on at some point in the second half whilst Kane stays on the bench throughout the game.

The City and Kane plan is working wonders I see. The price that people will accept is going down by the day. Thankfully Levy isn't as weak.

No one has a clue what price Levy has in his head.

Everything is just speculation, but the consensus seems to be that around £150m/£160m gets the deal done.

Don't think Kane would be bothered for one minute, his emotion for this club has gone, he just wants out
