If you don't buy Kane , how would it effect your season?

I don't think we'd be able to compete with Chelsea for the title, cups we might get away with. Don't think without Kane we'd have a chance of UCL either.

Jesus could be good with a full season but we'e been missing a striker all last season and we got lucky the rest of the league was having an off year.

its 100% the way he went about it. Specifically the Neville interview (hypocrite Neville!), being late back (he was) and the shitty statement he put out a week ago. If he’d put in a transfer request at the end of the season and said he needed a new challenge with a club competing for the biggest prizes then 95% of us would have understood and the anger would have been directed at Levy for 3 years of lack of investment 2016-2019.

Exactly, if he wanted to go so badly he should have put in a transfer request.

It’s not like the loyalty bonus is gonna put much of a dent in his earnings, especially as if he did then go city they.l no doubt put him on far too high wages.

If he managed to win a trophy with Spurs it would mean ten times more than winning one with City.

Yes it's a big if but I just think he's completely wrecked his legacy with the Club...all for chasing hollow trophies which is essentially on cheat mode.

I think the way things are achieved are sometimes more important than the achievement itself.

I guess that gets lost on some people.

I agree it wouldn't feel as much due to his relationship (or past relationship) with the spurs fans and what the club probably meant to him.

However with City there is a squad and a manager there who want to fight to win everything and I feel that is too irresistible for Kane.

I actually think in terms of football Kane should stay, it's his club and he should stay with the club.

Grealish can always go back to Villa and finish his career there, whereas Kane has chosen against that. Which is a shame.

Good point, when Ledley did a legends night last year he was very much a company man, nothing controversial at all.
I had the pleasure of meeting Ledley (anchored by Ricky Villa) at the Tottenham v Arsenal game (final season at WHL).

Whilst it was a personal pleasure meeting Spurs legends in the flesh for a chat, our Ledley looked smoother than a cashmere codpiece in the company suit. It fitted him like a god.

Hi,

City fan that casually reads other boards (just because I love reading about other clubs)

What is your guys main problem with Kane at the moment? Is it that he wants to leave? Or the way he has gone about it? (Look at Grealish and how he trained, still got abuse by villa fans)

As a city fan I think 150m isn't something City will pay, while I agree that 150m+ is easily what Kane is worth to you.

Don't want any arguing about clubs or what have you, genuine interest and just wanted to see how people were feeling about maybe losing Kane and how that would affect your season?
The cockerel on our 2017/18 season shirt had a shield around it. That was so it can be protected whilst it never had a home due to the new stadium build.
That’s all I care about. Kane can fuck off for all I care.
Hope that answers your question.

Show Kane maximum respect, show Man City maximum disrespect.

Kane may have acted poorly but he has put years into the club, if we show class it'll work better for us.

Man City are an oil doped nothing club, they need to know that. There is no honour in a move there, if there is a point to make it’s that.

For me it's all Kane, I'm personally not that annoyed with City.

At the end of the season, I would have been, not happy but accepting of Harry leaving. He's been a great servant for the club and given us some of his best years. I completely understand why he would feel the need to move on to win something.

But, then he did THAT interview with Gary Neville before the season ended. Then all the rest- his idiot brother leaking to the press, Harry telling the England squad he would refuse to train, not reporting back when he was supposed to etc etc.

There is a way to go about things in a respectful and sensible manner. Then there is the way the Kane's have done it. They have shown an utter disregard for the club, the fans. Fuck em. I dont care if he never wears the shirt again. He is not bigger than the club, although he seems to think he is.

From City's point of view, going by media reports and ITK it looks to me like Charlie has phoned up City asking would you be interested in Harry at 100m? To which they said, sure. But, I don't think City actually want Harry that much. It looks to me like they'd take him at a discount but he's not a signing they'd ordinarily look to make.

I kinda look at like: I wouldnt be interested in buying an Aston Martin. But, if someone offered me one at 50% of its value, sure I'd take it. That seems to me what City are doing, if they wanted Harry, they'd have paid the price no quibbles. If they've been told Harry is available for 100m, it's easy to see why they might go for it.

This is all on the Kane's, Charlie for being dumb enough to think Levy would sell cheap, Harry for his antics. I dont see a way forward from this, City won't pay Kanes price. Kane has burned his bridges for me. Personally, I'd be happy to let him rot in the reserves, but I know that's idiotic.

I don't think it's crept up on them, they already know. And I suspect they also know how pretty much most football fans feel about them and Chelsea, but they are winning titles, they don't give a fuck. You might get a handful of their fans not liking it but no more than that and it wouldn't make one bit of difference if they did.

It'd be interesting to see how our sporting nobility reacts if it were ever us. I suspect we all know.

But City know Charlie Kane doesn't set the fee! The thought anyone in football would think Daniel Levy would allow that.

Question for you...

If you sign Kane that will take Peps spending to over 1bn so if you fail to win the Champions League should he be sacked?

I think this is the most logical way it's played out.

I have to say that Kane and his brother have felt very naive in thinking it would be so easy.

City don't pay stupid money unless they really want someone. I know they spend a lot but they spent £100m on grealish because Pep wanted him badly.

It's why I don't see this transfer happening. City don't put a bid in unless they think they can get it done. If Kane or Charlie said yeh 100m is fine then I can see City agreeing, because why the fuck wouldn't you.

It all feels like it was done by children trying to play Levy at a mans game, which Levy wins 100% of the time. Guy is ruthless.

Honestly, something I think of everyday. In europe he has been so underwhelming, i'd trade a prem for a ucl anyday.

However, the domestic success we have rn is unrivalled (until chelsea and united start getting the cash cow going).

It's such a tough one because on one hand I can't say I don't love him, love the football and love the squad.

But on the other hand there are players we have bought that I think we didn't need to buy, losses in ucl that were completely avoidable because of pep.

Like if mourinho came in and we played boring football but won a ucl I'd be so happy.

Like who do you buy if Pep leaves?
So I think I'd keep him.

If you care so much about city fans why don't you join up on other websites? fuck their feelings.

And that right there is why you have the rep you do as a Club, so arrogant.

Klopp - he's another level above Pep. But I'm not sure he'd tarnish he reputation by joining City. Tuchel's got the measure of Pep already as well.

All i'm saying is if last season we won the ucl i'd have been so happy, we have won the prem and don't get me wrong it's also amazing but the ucl keeps getting away from us. Even when we got to a final, our best player gets injured, our manager makes a mistake and our players don't play well overall.

This will get done, I can't see another solution. Levy will most likely get the figure he wants but possibly late in the day.

He's been disrespectful sure but he's still a club legend in my mind. Maybe if he didn't have his brother as his agent this would have went down alot smoother.
