I agree. If we are being realistic city have got the premier league sorted for years to come. So his choices are abroad and don’t break record. Stay here and break record but not win the premier league. That leaves a choice stay here (spurs) or go to a prem club. Sign a one year extension with us or tie yourself to a 3 yr deal or more with Utd say. The latter gives him less chance of a payday. I think he will wait till December to make a decision

Unless City come in for him i think he will stay.
There were games last season when haaland or de bruyne missed out they lacked something and he wouldve been a great option but Pep seemed to burn that bridge when he wished him a good career at tottenham a couple of years back.
Chelsea may have a sniff but i cant see him going to a London rival (plus i think Poch will actually look to mold broja).
Cant see him going abroad with Shearers record within sight.
Utd seem pretty confident but are they a guarantee of trophies? They themselves only just ended a trophyless spell and with CL next year how much respect will the domestic cups get?
In my opinion he starts the season with spurs and assesses his options at the end of the year.

My United supporting mates are already speaking as if Kane to United would be a formality.

United won't spend big now, especially with the takeover potentially hitting halters.

Not only that but united aren't the club they were 10 years ago. I do believe Kane would prefer other options.....but there isn't many

What does where they watch from matter? We have fans in other parts of the country and other countries entirely. Just because they may be unable to attend games it doesn't make them less of a fan.

In Harry's case I disagree. He is the exception to the rule. If we can agree a new contract, great. Of course. If not then I'm more than happy to take a final year of his brilliance knowing very clearly that he is finished at the end of his contract.

Taken on its own I get where you are coming from, which is why I also asked when support for that club began. Those two things taken together are useful indicators of whether glory hunting bandwagon jumping is taking place, (i.e. Ferguson era or Liverpool circa 1975-1989) and along with that often goes with it a sense of entitlement that all other clubs around should be subservient to said chosen bandwagon club and that other clubs must and should always be feeder clubs to select bandwagon clubs, like Man United, Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Liverpool et al....ex-players of said clubs don't help by also behaving like this, how many times have you heard Rio Ferdinand, Gary Neville and Roy Keane bang on about how Kane must and should go to Man Utd. They seem to think it's Man Utd's absolute right to have him transferred from Man United as do their fans, even the ones going to games. I still haven't forgotten my recent trip to Spurs against Man United and listening to their arrogant chants.

Anyone can literally jump on the bandwagon of a club that hoovers up trophies ten to the dozen, that's the easiest thing in the world to do....if we all did it there would only be a handful of clubs left around the world.

I get it when there aren't comparable alternatives to follow in your country or local geographical areas but when there are comparable clubs based on where someone grows up that can be chosen and fans simply ignore them because they're not winning silverware and hop on a bandwagon to a club that is miles away because they happen to be hoovering up silverware, there's no excuse for it, that is glory hunting bandwagon jumping in the extreme.

There are fans and then there are fans and then there are fans - so many levels. Yes we are all ‘fans’ but the difference in attachment etc is vast

I don’t think it’s worth the risk. We have been in decline for years and it’s unlikely to reverse.
Man U etc aren’t even our competitors at the moment. We are not their match.

Whilst it's possible under the Webster ruling it doesn't happen a lot. In part as the later ruling on Matuzalem means that renumeration is decided ultimately by CAS on top of the buyout of the contract. Some clubs have indicated they won't touch players who have done it too, as it becoming more common is a huge threat to the value of their own players.

this self pity around Kane needs to stop - why would we possibly want our main man to go and strengthen a rival whilst significantly weakening us.

Yeah I don't get the fanbase that seem to want him to go elsewhere and win things? Like why? Why would I want any other English club to win a competition over us if we are in it.

Also, we have got to 3 finals with Kane and he has delivered nothing. No one else did in those finals either but still, a player of his calibre should thrive in a final and be able to turn it on. Same for England in the Euros final.

Love the bloke, best player I have ever seen and will go down as a club legend but I don't want him to go to another English team, would rather he went abroad.
