My personal take is that Harry has said he won't sign a contract and with that in the open the interested parties are understandably....interested.

We'll do our best not to sell within England but if the only offers meeting our valuation come from there then we'll probably do business.

Personally I'd keep Harry for the year and hope we can persuade him to stay during the season.

But I can't see the money men taking that route, so I think sadly Harry will go before the season starts.

Club leak, United sniffing again, had to take a lower offer from Bayern even thought they’ve acted like chodes throughout because the alternative is selling to a domestic rival. Oh and it’s Joe Lewis’ fault not Levy’s 🙄

And out of interest - when he leaves next season for free who would you replace him with with zero fund contribution. Not looking to argue - just interested in the alternative view point
what’s zero fund contribution?

What ENIC should have already done is brought in at least one quality CB, to give us at least an outside chance of CL- future revenues which would meet 30-50% of a Toney or David. The rest can be funded by the master businessman’s commercial acumen- including rip off ticket prices and maybe even naming rights and fkin go-karts

Disagree I'm afraid, I wouldn't take anything less than £100m and they can 100% afford to do that.

£100m isn't even enough tbh, I'm just fed up with it now and want Ange to have a good run at it. With Spurs, it's not even certain the money would be reinvested 🤦🏼‍♂️🤣....
but if we were to sell Kane, I'm 99% sure we would get the two CB's and a very talented striker in to try and strengthen the squad overall.

Nope.

It makes Levy not only look weak, but in fact makes him a weak functionary. This is not a good look for a man who basically likes to runs an entire business with absolute authority and pay himself accordingly. And who owns a chunk of it, albeit not the majority.

If there’s any truth in the rumour, there will be ramifications in the running of the club that go beyond the sale of Harry Kane.

He is going to Bayern. Levy won't sell to United and currently it's highly doubtful they could even afford him anyway.
I'm not sure that he would even want to go to United. I think we can all agree that his aim is to win trophies. Within Europe's big 5 leagues, the only clubs where that is currently close to guaranteed are Bayern, PSG and Man City. Everywhere else is a risk.

I find it so funny we always think our club leak this our club leak that. Our club hardly (they do, but rarely) put up a statement saying this and that rumours are untrue. Journalists and media are so free to write whatever shits that sell knowing us.

But I must say I got to hand it to them for thinking they are brilliant in thinking they could bring out Lewis into this saga, when Lewis doesn't give a fuck at all to who and how we buy or sell players. Never, ever.
Doubt Lewis even knows who Harry Kane is

If we do sell Harry we really need to have a quick deadline. Best offer by next week otherwise we risk selling without being able to use the cash properly.

Maybe this links in with Ivan Toney signing up with new agents in CAA paving way for a move? 2+2 = #trying to see something that's not there?

I just hate that this is dragging out, which it was always going to I realise but still. The season kicks off in three weeks and there’s still so much uncertainty around our attack and defence. Fact is Kane is such a unique player that any manager will be looking how to utilise all his talents best. There is no doubt that if/when he leaves that will greatly effect our preparation.

In general tho, the situation with both defence and attack will be hindering our prep and both really need to be sorted out as soon as possible. Kane leaving in the last few days of the window would very detrimental to start of our season which will likely already be rather unbalanced as is often the case when a new manager joins a club in summer.

It’s also a rather silly thing to make-up out of nothing - since it would be rather easy to deny. Lies don’t tend to be that specific.

Don't forget that after Campbell this was our official policy. To never let anyone leave in that manner. Maybe that came from Lewis. It's enough to make a story.

But ultimately it shouldn't matter. The club will make a decision. We'll never know the reasons or who was behind it. There's no right answer. People will continue to blame Levy whether we are successful or not. If Kane doesn't sign then he will be leaving. It was a decision that had to made.

Speculating or following all the gossip is pointless as it won't change anything or anyone's opinion. It's just a soap opera designed to waste your precious time and make you angry.

An astonishing observation from the beeb...

With the noise I guess they feel that they had to put something out, nothing in that article is different to what we've had all summer, we would let him go if the fee is right, otherwise we will keep him until his contract runs out and/or he signs a new contract, the added phrasing of clubs think we would take money over losing him for free is just speculation.

The idea that Levy runs the business with absolute authority is totally at odds with what I have heard originating from a couple of sources (including a London based football journalist) .
