The mooted targets (god I hope there are some that aren’t out there yet) for the 100M proceeds just aren’t anywhere near the level needed nor even at the right positions.

Do we think we hear something a bit more concrete today? Time really is pushing on if it’s to be done by the weekend.

If Bayern come in on 31st August and offer Levy the right money I still think he sells even at that late stage. I appreciate all the noises are that Kane wants it sorted by this weekend, just not personally convinced that this is a real deadline.

Not sure about everyone else but I’m getting tired of this now, it must be even worse for Ange.

Just roll on the weekend and hopefully this will be done and dusted - although I expect it won’t somehow.

I don't know anything about Fati but surely the medical would flag the knee issues ?

If his knee is that bad we would struggle to get insurance etc?
Forgetting the injury issues do we really need another LW? We have Son, Solomon and Peresic has arguably been the best performer throughout pre season in this system. If and it's still an if, we sell Kane I'd much rather the money was spent on a real quality CF. Not 3 players who aren't going to be difference makers.

All I want now is another CB and I think this has been a brilliant window as far as in's are concerned. All dependant on keeping Kane of course.

Can’t see that personally. Levy got his arse burned with Berbatov, I don’t see that happening again. We’ve even had three different ITK pretty much saying we are trying to line up replacements before we consider accepting an offer.

Look at the position of the rating on the screen. Most likely he left it accidentally as he scrolled on his mobile device, It's fat thumbs............most 'off topic' ratings are.

SC has strategically placed it there in order to create confusion and arguments.

If I were you i'd give him a proper coating over it :cautious:
A certain user with his email address as his username must have huge thumbs the size of dinner plates if that's the case.

We have fallen further behind our rivals this transfer window. Kane goes and we may as well write off any hope of top 4 this season. If we had backed Poch like arsenal have backed Arteta we wouldn’t be talking about Kane leaving.
I think our recruitment has been massively improved in particular since Paraciti was appointed (I know he’s now not officially working for us but seems his people are still at club and he’s probably providing some unofficial input).

Last few transfer windows we've signed Bentancur, Bissouma, Kulusevski, Van Der Ven, Vicario, Maddison and Solomon.

If we hadn’t had that silly period when not signing anyone we would hopefully be in a better state.

Also, looking at competitors Liverpool are certainly weaker as lost a few players including their first choice defensive midfielder who they have no replaced.

Chelsea are still massively unbalanced and have only one defensive midfielder at present.

West Ham are a complete state.

Man City have shed a couple of important squad players and aside from signing a really good centre back they are weaker.

Man U have been quite poor I feel in transfer window this summer having been quite good last summer.

Obviously I’m biased but we’ve signed a really top-notch attacking midfielder, a new goalkeeper, a league proven winger and have actually signed a centre back!

Aside from the gooners I can’t see many others teams doing as good business this summer (no idea where they’re getting all this money from suddenly) but we have addressed the areas in our squad that need addressing).

It would be a massive shame not to see Kane playing in this new set-up as the team looks the strongest it has been for a quite a few seasons.

I don't want another left winger at all I agree.

Are you or anyone here happy with our right wing options? That's the one position apart from centre back in concerned with. Kulu isn't convincing me and although I think Perisic could do a great job there I haven't seen him tried in the role at all

I'm afraid Spurs have a lot of work to do to reassure people that the worst possible outcome won't happen, experience suggests the club takes any opportunity it can to whack us in the unmentionables.

Everything we've heard suggests to the contrary, but would anyone truly be surprised if Bayern come back with a late mega offer and we end up (like a certain someone) richer, but extremely short?

Not if Kane says he is not moving at that stage. This is the point you're missing, which is a non-financial one.

I would be very surprised myself as it is not just about Levy, it means Kane and Bayern starting their seasons without the transfer and being willing to hang in their rather than commit to other courses of action. Don't see it.

Yeah we are a bit lighter that side, although Solomon can play both sides (left side preferred) as can Richarlison (again he prefers centre or left side though).

We do also have Porro, but Ange has seemed to prefer him as a right back so far :)nailbiting:).

And Maddison has played out wide, but not ideal.

Son can play both sides too and can use both feet so has seemed odd to me he hasn’t been switched to that side in emergcies.

Get your point, And have been happy with how we are playing (except defence) but if he is still here for brentford and we don't do so well in the 3 games this month. He could change his mind

No way of knowing exactly what Kane is thinking.

We know Bayern is more attractive than Spurs.

But if Kane stays one more season, he could go to much more attractive clubs than Bayern on a free, plus on much bigger wages.

If I was in Kane’s position, I’d stay one more season.

If Bayern want him, they need to pay up. He’s not choosing them over other clubs next summer.

I guess so, but his family really matters to him and I think he’d come down on their side if the last-minute scenario came up. In fact, I fully expect that if they haven’t done the deal by the Brentford match that HK himself will announce that he’s staying with us this season.

Totally agree.

But it just proves where our objectives lie....

Are we really shaping the squad for our new manager to the best of our ability?

Or are we doing the usual approach, identifying opportunistic purchases with higher ceilings for maximising profit?

It's the latter, unfortunately.

The more transfer windows that pass, the more it's exposed.

This will get done. Whether this week or on deadline day. Bayern will get desperate & they have the money so will pony up eventually.

Levy may well hang that way, he's all business after all, but whether Kane goes along with it is not so certain. Personal circumstances have a bearing and the ticking of the countdown clock to the end of his contract is getting louder.

It’s only a brilliant Window if we do the above and get rid of our unwanted players! If we don’t we could have 35-40 first team players 😳
