I'm not entirely convinced by the narrative that Kane never steps up in the big games. Although he will drop into midfield when he needs to, and is obviously an amazing no.10, he is primarily there as the striker, so he is not going to be able to influence games in the way Messi or Ronaldo did in their prime.
In the big cup matches he was either not really fit (CL Final) or simply starved of supply. I can't really remember him fluffing chances which he would normally bury in the high pressure moments.
Whenever I've watched Bayern this season, Kane has been surrounded by egos always looking to score themselves ahead of passing to him. That club is a mess because of the characters in the dressing room and their sense of entitlement.
If they built the team around Kane and his professionalism, they would be a real force.
