I want Aguero. Strong, fast, great finisher. Not a moody twat either.

Suarez and Dzeko look awesome according to Youtube but I haven't seen them in many full games, but their goal tallies don't lie. Adriano is a nice shout too.

I don't know what wages Tevez is on but he would be a great addition.

i love the idea of a 'marquee signing' but our track record with them (meaning the £10m+ signings) isnt great, especially those that we bought of the back of a good World Cup (Dumitrescu, Rebriv, Postiga) . Think id rather we looked to get Premiership experience at a better price, maybe Carlton Cole or Zamora?

Dumitrescu was great! I loved that team. It was totally mental, but I loved it.

Definitely don't want Cole or Zamora though. They'd be Bent MkII.

So you crave Drogba then?

I do for sure. He's the type of player we need - strong and fast. That's the missing link, the Shearer, Rooney, Drogba style striker.

I think Anelka could fit the bill actually. He's a mercenary bastard, but he's damn good. I can't see him coming though, if he ends up on a free I'd expect a 'bigger' club than us to snap him up, probably in foreignland somewhere.

Trust me (I live in Brazil) he wouldn't be. He has a lot of baggage, fitness problems, attitude problems, alledged drug problems, depression. Reports here say that he only turns up for training when he feels like it and now even Dunga has shown him what he thinks by leaving him out of the WC squad. Besides having watched quite a bit of Brazilian football over the last three years or so, I can tell you that the overall quality is pretty low eg Ronaldo is still scoring regularly despite the fact that he has the speed of an oil tanker and there's an earthquake everytime he hits the floor. Robinho who couldn't cut it in the EPL now dances through defences and scores for fun as does Vagner Love, who at best is a championship player in England. Despite that though they do produce good, skilful players like Ganso, Hernanes, Neymar, Sandro etc who will likely become better by moving to Europe.

Fair enough, yeah I did know he has his issues but didn't realise he was a twat.

Just knocked this up for a handy look at some of the names suggested, when compared with Drogba, Torres and Rooney:

Suarez – 123 goals – 193 games (age 24) Goal Ratio = 0.64
Van nistelrooy – 271 – 460 (age 33) Goal Ratio = 0.59
Oscar Cardozo – 115- 213 (age 26) Goal Ratio = 0.54
Araujo – 201 – 382 (age 32) Goal Ratio = 0.53
Adriano – 130 – 272 (age 28) Goal Ratio = 0.48
Drogba – 178- 376 (age 32) Goal Ratio = 0.47
Torres – 183 – 394 (age 26) Goal Ratio = 0.46
Dzeko – 98 – 217 (age 24) Goal Ratio = 0.45
Falcao – 67 – 148 (age 24) Goal Ratio = 0.45
Luis fabiano – 123 – 287 (age 29) Goal Ratio = 0.43
Rooney – 131 – 314 (age 24) Goal Ratio = 0.42
Aguero – 93 – 231 (age 21) Goal Ratio = 0.40
Benzema – 79 – 205 (age 22) Goal Ratio = 0.39

Suarez all the way!!!

If we don't get Dzeko then I would like to see Luis Suarez and Huntelaar back together again replacing Pav and Keane.

"Redknapp helped to stabilise the club and establish it in the Premier League, and also helped bring through a number of young players from the club's academy, including Rio Ferdinand, Joe Cole, Michael Carrick and his nephew Frank Lampard coming through the ranks." - Wikipedia

He made does players. It might be one of them - or maybe not? Or even Cole and Carrick and some other suprice? Its a long shoot.

oo completely forgot about cardozo! quality player! certainly more realistic than dzeko plus he has been linked in the past year.

tall enough to be that target man, and also has a great goalscoring record which shows he at least knows how to hit the target consistently. Does he play up top on his own for benfica? cant remember from the uefa cup games.

also an fm beast but has backed that up with great stats in real life.

THAT! I like that!!!
I think the signings will be:
James (free) - ive been saying this for some time.
Diarra
Then IMO i think it'll be Berba to reunite with Keane, so we have Defoe/Crouch and Berba/Keane OR as you put Luis Suarez and Huntelaar back together again replacing Pav and Keane.
Proven partnership!
Somehow, i also think we'll end up with bellamy!
Again as i said just as long as its not Cole from WHam and Beckford from Leeds.

Fraizer Campbell didn't make that list? Are you sure it is accurate?

Anelka and Dzeko would make an ideal summer for me, which strikers would be sold? I really don't mind.

Anelka will not play for us for £60,000 a week and Dzeko would cost us a fortune.
However it is a nice dream.

In an ideal world I would love 2 strikers who were mobile, quick, strong and big but unfortunately we have Defoe and Crouch.

When Harry says special player,
I hope he's aware what the cost of special players are and that we can afford it.

Zlatan's rumoured to be available

If Zlatan's mind is right, then he's one helluva playah!! Expensive and a bit risky at this stage.

Here's a special player -- LW Christian Rodriguez from Porto. Spurs were linked to him last August. He's very fast, awesome left peg, and isn't light weight. Spurs line up lacks a little pace after Defoe, Lennon, and Bale, so why not? He wouldn't be free though...

Also, Clarence Seedorf can play all the way across midfield. Seedorf and Rodriguez would be nice.

No Anelka super sulk please...

(P.S. anyone see Rodriguez play -- I've only watched him a half dozen times, but he's been a game breaking player)

Funny quote from Suarez' wikipedia:

He (Suarez) ended the 2008–09 season with 22 goals from 31 games in the league, finishing second in the top-scorers table, a goal behind Mounir El Hamdaoui of AZ.

if zlatanis throwing a moody at Barca..what the F**K would he do at the lane?

why cant we go for hungary, younger players, with desire to do well, and really ambitious, not washed up,or long in the tooth players looking for one last big pay day,or think they are doing us a favour.

that rules out zlatan,berba,adriano,RVN,bellamy,etc etc..

lets go for dzeko,suarez,cadoza,benzama,etc etc
