I don't go to the lane anymore mate because of the amount of complete ****s that infect the place!.. been going since the early 70's & in that time done some stupid things in the name of thfc . most people that where trouble are banned but they where the people that made the atmosphere!.. those that arn.t banned are fed up with being threatened of being removed from the ground from a mug in a highvis who out of the ground hasn't got the intelligence to get a job & have long since stopped going & gave up there s.t's as well....it football wants/accepts you to grass in secret on the fan next to then I don't want any part of it.
up until a few years ago everyone stood up for there actions & those around them would argue the point if there was a problem with any language or actions used!..
by the way... the adebayor song if that's what your referring to is not rascist imho.. abusive but not racist. heard & seen far far worse & actually fought with the nf (bnp) outside the lane when they where recruiting at football grounds.

Gotta say I agree. When we played Chelsea at wemberley and our lot were leaving in the masses after 70 odd minutes, i stood up and had a right go. Never felt the need todo that before but I find myself standing up and clapping the twats who boo, telling them what great support they are, most matches now.

People are moaning about the wall fans yesterday but tbh it wouldn't surprise me if that happened at the lane. The atmosphere is shit and tense.

God I loved us being the underdogs.

All good points in here but sadly probably won't be read by the idiots its referring to.

This is because if you are that moronic, I'm assuming that turning on a computer would be difficult, let alone the strain of having to type out anything on a message board.

The emotionally stunted have slipped through that net though.........

What some fans don't seem to realise is that in a fantastic atmosphere at white hart lane the boys play better, take Inter Milan at home for example, on the back of a NL derby win the atmosphere was fantastic and how did we play? Also fantastic. Sure Inter wasn't anywhere near their best but I'd like to think that the support we showed them in providing a brilliant atmoshere was partly the reason as to why we played so well. Even some of the players took to Twitter after the game and mentioned how brilliant us fans were, that's what they want, they want their fans to get behind them for 90 minutes, where's their motivation going to come from if some people boo? The home support does need to improve and by doing that hopefully we'll start seeing some improved performances starting against Man City.

That is bollocks , if any racism passes the lips of one of our supports then they have no idea what it is to be a yid and should fuck off to Islington or Stratford
I know full well what it is to be a yid.. where has all this racism at the lane come from then ffs!.. theres never been none at the lane in my years of going over there & when it did come I stood & fought it!. suddenly the whole fucking world is rascist ffs!!.
stop being so over sensitive for fuck sake, . and grass is a grass, at least have the bollocks to grass in front of the prospective bod by pointing them out instead having bollocks lower than a snake.
half the problem is people are shit scared to sing or say anything because the either stewards tell them to sit down & shut up or get ejected/baaned or a long line of bertie smalls impersonators are now waitng with baited mobile phones so to speak that's why people like me don't go anymore cos theres to many arseholes looking for excuses to cover there own shit support.

Why is saying things to people's face so important to you? The systems are there so that people can't be intimidated into not reporting things, and it will be set up so that evidence is required before anyone is warned or banned.

I agree that the stewarding can be annoying but if they're challenging song that people sing then there's probably a decent reason for it.

I have never booed a spurs player but theres one thing worse than a moron & that's a grass!!.

you got a problem with someone boo'ing around you have the bollocks to tell them to their face.

anyone who wants to be secret squirrel & jump on there phone and grass on a fellow yid is chickenshit.

I dont think people are grassing up on people for simply booing... Racism is racism and should be dealt with. Whether the person want to confront them or feels more comfortable alerting the people that are paid to deal with this shit that's up to them.

why!!.. simple if i'm about to possibly drop someone in it i'd personelly have the balls & respect to do it front of them.. the days when everyone at football was a potential thug ready to have a tear up has long gone.
90 % of songs sung at football are hurtful to someone in some way.. think about that next time you sing about tevez monkey head or the ref being a wanker.. someone round you might not like it.
& please don't say you've never participated in songs like that mentioned..
as I said before where has all this rascism & rascists come from because I've never witnessed at the lane

of course theres some eejiots about but that's the case everywhere.

Yeah and that's fine for you, but if someone doesn't want to take on a drunk bloke who's throwing out abuse because he knows he could batter anyone who complains, why is that wrong?

90% of songs are hurtful? Are they fuck. Again it goes back to supporting the club rather than anything else. Almost all of the songs about Spurs don't contain abuse of other teams and they're the ones that should be being sung.

(WARNING: I'm going to use exaggeration here for the purpose of conveying a point)

If you saw someone going into a pub with a sawn-off shotgun and wearing a balaclava would you a) call the police and grass them up or b) have the balls & respect to tell them to their face?

Now obviously the two incidents are quite different but both are criminal offences and the onus should not be on the person reporting it to put themselves in danger in anyway.

Also calling the ref a wanker and slagging off a player with racial abuse are so different.... I really hope I don't need to explain why.

I'm not going to have a dick measuring contest about who gives better support for the team, when I can get a ticket I sing, I shout, I get told to sit down the same as you probably did.

Unlike you, I have heard racism at the lane a few times in recent years although not close enough for me to do anything about it! I hope someone did drop a text to the number because phrases like "Ade you useless black bastard" should get you kicked out, there is no two ways about it! You wouldn't hear some shouting "Parker you useless white bastard" would you?

Oh and the thing about being a grass, a grass is a person who is doing their civic duty! Are you telling me that if you saw someone wearing a Spurs shirt breaking into your neighbours house that you wouldn't call the police for fear of grassing up one of your own?

If you haven't already, you should really checkout The 1882 though, I reckon you'd love it!

I'm female. I'd feel very, very uncomfortable about confronting a strange guy directly if he was being abusive. Does that mean I should say nothing rather than report him?

You talk about how being a 'grass' is really low but i'd rather risk being a grass than a punch in the face, especially as speaking up with my quite plummy accent isn't likely to go down very well.

yep, fair play & was looking at it from my point of view & I would hope that someone like me was around you at the time.
