IF we win the UEFA cup this sason.
AND ManU win the PL.
THEN Spurs would have won as many trophies in one season as Ar5ena1 have done in the last 5

03/04 - Prem League
04/05 - FA Cup
05/06 - nitto -
06/07 - nada -
07/08 - ? -
(I'm not counting their Charity Shield in 2004 cos it's not a competition trophy - just turn up and if the opposition do too then play a game of football)

I think that Arse have over performed by a mile this season.

I don't think they are anywhere near as good as their league position suggests, I don't think they will win anything and I think that they are very very close to us in overall strength. In fact give us fabregas and we would be way stronger than Arsenal.

some of their football at the start of the season was very good, Fabregash was scoring at free will. however i think he is looking a little jaded as the lack of the media wankfest over him will testify. had Adebayor gone ACN as well then Man Yoo would be top by now. losing to Meeeelan next week could really effect their confidence, Galls has already lost the plot, so i can see us winning more than Woolwich this season! COYS!

Although I really dont like counting chickens before they're hatched, this would be lovely.

What do Arsenal have to do with anything? They're not the measure of us nor ever have been. Sad.

Although Arsenal have qualified for champions league football in each of those five years.
To me, we cannot be compare success against them, as they have been far more successful.

Lets be honest, you would swap the Carling Cup and Uefa Cup for winning the league and FA cup and qualify for CL every year in those 5 years.

Jumping the gun a little too much, although it would be a dream come true to win the Uefa Cup and Carling Cup double in one year, but had Arsenal been in Uefa Cup and played first team in Carling Cup, they could easily be in our position now.

I agree with most of what your saying but their first team is not much better than ours. If they had played their first team in the cc semi, the same team that we played off of the park at the Emirates just a few weeks before, we still would have won.

This inferiority complex really gets up my nose. We played Pool's "proper" team and should have won, we played Chelsea's "proper" team and won without playing our best, we played the mancs "proper" team 3 times without having our own "proper" team and should not have lost any of them.

You take Gareth Bale and Ledley King out of ANY team and they would be weaker. We have been missing 2 of the best players in the prem for most of the season. If anything, we have been fielding weakened teams.

F*ck 'em all, I would give us a good chance of playing any team, anywhere if we have our 1st choice 11 fit and available.

Bring "em on!

That is a lovely thought.

As is the fact that on aggregate we have beaten them 8-7 this season.

I wasn't meaning about us, I meant in general in that competition. They played the only team they had available bar a couple of bench players against us.

My whole point is that, we could indeed win 2 trophies this year, but its still small in comparison to what they have acheived since the Premiership began.

Its like many fans get sick of Chelsea's gloating how they are a big club and part of the big four... yet I see spurs fans saying, what did you win before 2000...

I'm all for joy about winning, but I'm not going to embarrass myself to say that its comparable, because its not.
