Gutting, feel he would of been great for us... Snip of a price too... Ridiculous we weren't in for him.
I don't really know enough about him to be gutted - I guess it will depend on who we actually do sign by the end of the window (and how well he performs) that will dictate whether it was an error to overlook him or not - or if we just had bigger/better targets in our sights (who we actually sign of course)

Probably were in for him, but it has been widely reported he didn't want to leave Germany.

Also helps that Leverkusen have 18 million in cash sitting around that they used to buy him all up front.

Not much that could have been done in this instance.

Think he went pretty cheap actually

Regardless anything he did cost could have been paid in full from they money they got from Chelsea.

However its besides the point if the player didn't want to leave Germany. He gets to stay in Germany and play CL football next season. Win win.

Really sorry to hear that we failed to get Son. Perhaps we'll pursue him in a year or two for three times the price - and fail to get him on the last day of the transfer window...

I hope Spurs weren't beaten to him by Leverkusen. It's hard for us to say how much Andre really wanted him. If Andre really wanted him but Levy refused to pay the price, then it will for sure test their relationship; but if, on the other hand, Andre thinks there's bigger catches out there and Son wasn't worth the price HSV demanded, at least the relationship with Levy isn't spoiled.
From what I've seen from Son, I was really keen on him. But I have no-where near as much info on him as Andre (and other clubs). Besides, Son is more of a wide CF, thriving in a 4-3-3 formation.

not convinced he was a "top target" for AVB/Spurs, so best of luck to him in Leverkusen :watching:
