Hmm..not sure Levy would ever re-employ a manager he'd already sacked once before.

Levy still regularly consults Hoddle about football and management issues. The parting was unfortunate but very amicable and both of them are quite open about the possibility of a return one day should circumstances fall that way. That's unlikely, as we've moved on as a club and Hoddle hasn't worked at the top for years, but don't rule it out forever.

Wow. Every day something new to consider. Cheers.

It smacks a little of anti Levy

HR with a grouse and Glenda who wanted to take over after AVB

I think DL would have been better with GHod than Timmy but there you go

Time will tell but I think he GHod is older and wiser and has been more innovative than most managers. England would have been better off appointing him rather than Uncle Roy. So if I am right and he does make a decent job of it let's hope England come calling sooner rather than later

I like the 3-5-2 formation, especially as it allows teams to play a front two.

Lloris

Chiriches Kaboul Vertonghen

Walker Dembele Eriksen Capoue Rose

Adebayor Lamela (or Soldado)

We have two VERY attack minded full backs in Walker and Rose who would probably revel in wing back role.

I wonder if this will affect transfers/loans between the clubs? For instance, Hoddle rates Tom Carroll doesn't he? Although TC didn't have a brilliant loan result last year at QPR....you never know.

Amazing that he'll actually be working for Redknapp rather than the other way round.

Hope it gets him back into management.

Wonder if his (and perhaps even Harry's) thinking is that he'll take over next season if Harry does have to retire.

Whilst myself and Graham Roberts were both wearing our swimming shorts and sitting in a Sauna together the Saturday before Ledley's testimonial, he said Glenn had turned down the temporary role of Jan-June as he wanted it full time but Levy said he couldn't commit past the summer.

Hopefully this will keep him off the tellie, love him as a player and a coach just not a pundit I'm affraid.
I don't mind him as a pundit. As a player, of course, there was nothing but greatness...as a coach, well, it was not an unmitigated success story, I would have to say!

I don't think this will work. Any kind of bad run of games will lead to media touting Hoddle as "ready to step in" etc and it will put pressure on Redknapp. Something will happen there and Redknapp will be out by January.

It's funny how Hoddle has been championing the 3-5-2 for years now, even having relative success with it at World Cup '98. It's only really now that Van Gaal has come to the Premier League that people seem to be talking about it in the way that they are, Roberto Martinez has been using it too and it hardly got a mention outside of Wigan/Everton TV coverage. I have a feeling that if the FA had stuck by Hoddle then somehow football in this country would be better for it.

Levy and ENIC may not be around, or even if they're still here, should Hoddle become very successful and still pines for a return to his spiritual home; and the fans want him, who's to say it won't happen?

No footy to watch so might as well dream.

That was the worst thing about Glenn's previous stint as manager here, we so wanted him to be a brilliant success, it would have been poetically right, but at the end, it was a nightmare for all of us, but I don't think having to work under Pleat did him any favours either to be honest.
