I'm down in London next week and want to buy the £60 players home shirt.

Is it just the Spurs mega store I can buy it from or is there anywhere in central london I can find it?

Cheers

I think you should be able to pick up a home shirt pretty much anywhere - probably Lilywhites or Soccer Scene on Oxford st or Covent Gdn

Think he means the players shirt which is slightly better quality than the replica copy you can buy anywhere.

As for where you can buy it.... dunno. Ive only ever seen them in the megastore.

Ok, so can anyone guide me as to what is the best way to get to the Spurs Mega store from Oxford Circus - from looking at the map there doesn't appear to be any tube stations close.

Can I walk from Tottenham Hale or should I get the bus.

Cheers

If the Victoria LIne is open, jump on that to Seven Sisters, leave via the High Road exit (sign on the platform says "buses to WHL") and get on pretty much any bus from the stops outside - you can always check with the driver if you're not sure. It's about 5 mins on the bus or a 20 min walk if you're feeling fit.

I'm pretty sure I'm gonna get the players one. I've seen the Italy shirt, which is the same as ours, and I much prefer it. I got the replica the day it came out, but still haven't actually worn it as I only ever really wear them on match days, and I tried it on last night and realised just how crappy and thin it really is... so I think I'll have to get the proper players one. Damn bastards ripping us off.

I got the players shirt for my brithday a few days ago. My bird ordered it off the OS for me. I'ts awsome, best footy shirt I've ever worn. It's really comfortable, a perfect fit, and it feels really good quality as well. I'm so glad I told her to pay extra for the players one as it's so much nicer. The main factor though was that I'll mostly be wearing it to actually play football in so I wanted one that wasn't gonna get f*cked after a few washes.

I strongly advise paying the extra for it. You're getting ripped off for the replica anyway so an extra score isn't gonna change that.

Is it just the home kit they do or does the megastore do the Away and 3rd aswell? Might shell out a few more quid a buy a quality 3rd shirt.

The new replica kit is very nice and comfy and a good fit but part of me wishes I had bought a thicker player version as the replica one does seem to show a bit of nipplidge!

Anyone else having that problem or do I just have really strong nipples??

I'm pretty sure the away and third kits are just the proper ones anyway. They're mainly one layer, so I don't think they're any different. The players' home shirt is two layers and the replica is only one.

I have the 3rd kit (black) and have to say, the quality is very good, compared to the first addition puma kits. Not sure if its one layer or two (forgot to ask) but the quality feels and fits nicely.

Anyone thinking to buy from the mega store should ask the customer assistants for both 1 or 2 layer shirts and depending on your finance make your choice. As I've said, I got the shirt for £39.99 and the quality IMO is fine.

It is only the home shirt they do in player spec. I have sent emails asking them to make the 3rd kit in player spec but for some reason they refused:doh:

i wouldnt even consider for one second paying another 20 quid even if there was something wrong with the 40 one, which to my mind there isnt.

its just the height of extortion having 2 "qualities" in the one year only, 1 of 3, shirt. but then again i may be biased since given that i outright refuse to buy anything from the shop unless i cant avoid it! (like the 3rd kit)

This is correct. Tottenham & Puma have pulled off a right stunt here, they should be taken to the Trading Standards people over this.

The shirt that is £60 should be the only one for sale at £40. If you go into SportsWorld they sell the double layer shirt for around £30 in other teams products.

Why?

The cheaper shirt is clearly advertised as being a 'replica'.

I only wish they did one of the keeper shirts in 'player spec'.

It's not just spurs and puma, I don't think any club has ever sold a shirt that matches what the players wear, it's always a cheap imitation.

The rip-off is what we normally get sold. The first Puma shirt we had is "worth" about £5 in my eyes, it was crap. The players shirt is well worth £60. Obviously I'd prefer it if they sold that for £40 and the crappy replica's for £20 but they've been flogging them for £40 for years so there's no incentive for them not to.
