Regarding the mental strength of our players, especially those in defence... Are our players that intimidated by the atmosphere at away venues?

At home, we have the best defence in the league - 9 goals conceded with WBA and Man City to go. Away, we have the joint-3rd worst defence having conceded 32 goals and yet to visit tough grounds at Everton and Liverpool (Stoke conceded 35 away goals, WBA conceded 33 away goals, Boro and Blackburn conceded 32 goals).

There's no doubt our defenders have the quality, but I just find it extremely puzzling why there's such a great disparity in the goals conceded home and away.

I'm not sure we are approaching the away games in the right way. It could be a mental problem but Harry had similar problems at Portsmouth where Fratton Park was a tough place to go but you always felt like their away form could have been better.

The problem is that it's going to probably be somewhere both theories. But the manager has to address it before it nestles in there for next season. We need some good preseason training and prepping to beat the away form blues.
