Alex Pritchard's emergence over the last two years has been a classic example of a young player benefiting from the combined experiences of the Barclays Under-21 Premier League, loan action and international development.

Huge step up from the level he has been playing at but extremely hopeful he can do it. Seems to have the ability and work ethic needed.

A step up but not a gigantic one if we assume he'll mainly play in the cups and be on the bench. He played only one division below, to rave reviews so he's closer to premier league level than Alli. I want competition for places and if we have youngsters coming through let's give them a chance.

Was convinced that Pritchard would make it with us since I saw him play in the Next Gen game v Inter. I'm hoping he gets and takes his chance this season as I really think he could have a positive impact on the team. He has great quality in the final 3rd.

Mate who is a Brentford season ticket holder loves him but doesn't think he has quite enough for Prem yet. For all his ability he is small for a CM and that is going to take time to find a way to play around as you have to be at modric levels.

What is wrong with some of you all here?
Where is the love and trust in our own youth players. This is the player who was one of the star performer in the Championship. He might be small but he knows how to play and take advantage of his small build.
Check back last season pre-season post on Harry Kane, there were those that claimed Kane is too slow, too rigid and not proven at Premier League. Look at Kane now. Pretty sure the same critics will say he is a one season wonder but talent is there to see.

Putting in my statement for this season:
Kane is not a one season wonder.
Pritchard will be the next one to break through.
