The Times said that he'd signed.

I'm ready with t'stamp.

This is from Derby's Official Site:

Ghaly permit granted

Hossam Ghaly is in line to make his Derby County debut against Wigan Athletic tomorrow after being granted a work permit.

The formalities of Egypt midfielder Ghaly's loan move from Tottenham Hotspur until the end of the current season were completed this morning ahead of the noon Premier League registration deadline for the game.

Ghaly's work permit approval came through on Thursday afternoon.

The Rams are still waiting on international clearance for Laurent Robert, who signed a short-term deal earlier this week.

Ghaly, rated by Ruud Guillit as one of the best young middfielders in Europe while at Feyenord, tracked by arsenal. Came to spurs was put right wing! bought on in the second half and then taken back off again. So wheo s***d who? Ghaly is better then most the central players we got. If he was managed well he would have been solid. Too bad Ramos didnt get the chance to deal with him.

A lot of people are in denial about that.

Indeed...

And they also tend to forget he continued playing dispite having 4 of his teeth kicked out during a match... and he scored some pretty important goals for us...

Defoe and Keane have also thrown hissy fits about being subbed, but because they aren't dirty foreigners, it's ok cos it's "passion for the club"

Dirty immigrants

i agree, we've lost a properly good midfielder but he behaved like a twat. It's quite good that he's gone bc he was never going to play for us again and we won't be paying his wages anymore.

We'll get the cash when he puts in the monster performances that will persuade the 'big club' he's always on about to buy him .

To be fair, BOF, he's only mentioned 'big' clubs in Daily Mail translations of his interviews. These have been considerably at variance with those offered on here. The fact that he acted like a total tit (and, let's be honest, if it had been Mido who'd done the shirt-chucking no-one would have been too astonished, but from Ghaly it was a bit of a surprise) seems to have disposed everyone to believe the absolute worst of him. And as for Bernard Cribbins complaining about prima donnas, I can recall a certain Norwich City CB who more or less went on strike to get his big transfer to United.

Going to a new club is a new challenge and he might show

some of the form he had a while back.

I will always have a soft spot for Ghaly for keeping on playing after having those three teeth kicked out. Too bad he only in glimpses managed to show what a terrific footballer he could be. Seems like he could not handle the pressure that comes with playing in big club with very demanding fans. Wish him good luck.

I think I have said this before but I always thought Ghaly was dead hard and a quality mid fielder who never got a decent chance. How many prima donna's do you know that have 3 teeth kicked out and then play on, that was one hard ass egyptian, he needed a quality manager to get the best out of him. Which tit subs the sub?

Good luck I say!

Good luck I say!

best statement i read in this whole thread.

imagine if he does good at Derby ( which we all know he is capable of. no one doubted his skills and abilities )..imagine how mich money this will bring the spurs when and if he gets sold.
hell, maybe Ramos will take another look at him and decides he wants to keep him.. after all, he is the trusted boss and what the boss wants is what the boss gets..
im saying, he is gone only on a loan ..he is still a Spur and will remain so til at least the end of the season. i dont imagine him celebrating or going nuts if he scores a goal against us ( God forbid).
point is, he is gone for now.. he is still a Spur..still ours til we decide otherwise so for now BEST of Luck to you Ghaly

Ramos definately wants to keep the guy and that's why he is letting him go on a loan so he can get his fotty back. I really like Ghaly - very talanted player and he gives everytning when on the pitch. He played against Chelsea in THAT game and in the cup one that we were 3:1 by half time. The guy should not play on the wing he is a central midfielder, attacking one. Anyone who plays him defferently than that wastes him.

Best of luck to him! I hope he makes a lot of people eat their words to be honest (as long as it's not against us)!
