What a dumb headline. Levy isn't set to lose anything. The contract was signed. There is no obligation to renegotiate the buyback

We really need someone to act as a filter before posting every single article that mentions Spurs.

Everyone who reads that article will be dumber than before they read it.

Surely this is all pointless anyway if Reguillion wants to stay with us... I mean who would want to go to RM when you could choose Spurs.

It is suggested by Defensa Central that the Spanish giants only intend on spending between €30-33m (£25.4-28m), some way below the original agreement between the two clubs.

It could therefore mean that Spurs could indeed end up losing out on a potential £7m should Real return for Reguilon’s signature next summer.

What an utterly garbage article. And this is the website Alasdair Gold writes for?

Levy has no intention of selling Reguillion. Unless RM paid the price agreed upon. You can take that to the bank.
Well it's Paratici who would presumably make that decision, and regardless of the figure in the contract we might accept a fee of the amount we paid. He's been an ok signing but many would be happy to get a full refund. Can't see why apparently cash-strapped Real would buy him though. Sounds like utter BS anyway.

I wonder about this, was Regi only ever intended as a stop gap until Sess got up to speed? That would make sense in respect to the buyback clause.
Is Sess ready yet though?

As far as I'm aware it's only a one-way buy back clause in case he was phenomenal and Real could re-sign him for themselves or to sell for a higher price. I don't think we can make them re-sign him

No, no and no.

Madrid put these clauses on all their highly rated young players.

What a rubbish article.

How would we lose money when Levy would never agree to any attempts by Real Madrid to negotiate it down?

Hopefully we keep him too, although given how poor we’ve been since getting him he might not wanna stick around (yes he hasn’t always been great but that’s down to poor coaching as there’s a player in there).

I love how the article closes by completely contradicting its own headline:

"At this stage, it looks highly unlikely that Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy would agree to letting the left-back go for a reduced fee - especially considering the history between the two clubs..............Therefore, it seems unfounded that he would choose to lose money on a potential move for Reguilon especially considering his impressive spell in north London thus far."
