How many in the current team would be in your greatest ever team in your Spurs-supporting lifetime?

It's ironic all those years where we had one of two absolutely superb players but a pretty terrible team around them and now we've got an extremely good team but aside from Kane we're missing that one superb attacking player in order to easily win the league.

You are joking of course? Nobody wins the premier league easily !!

This is a hard one, because we've had so many great players since 1989, when my life with Spurs began. But Hugo is the only one from the current team in my greatest ever Spurs 11, althought I think we have now the strongest team as a whole in my spurs-supporting lifetime.

Lloris
Carr - Mabbutt - King
Anderton - Modric - Gazza - Bale
Sheringham - Lineker - Klinsmann

Just couldn't fit any LBs (didn't like Bale back there...) in my greatest ever 11...and couldn't drop any of those forwards. So that kind of formation would propably be quite senseless, but no can do! ;)

Pat
Perryman - Toby - King - Hughton
Ardiles - Gazza
Waddle - Hoddle - Bale
Kane

(Subs: Modric, Lineker, Klinsmann, VDV)

That team wins the Intergalactic Time-travellers' World Cup every year, without a shadow of a doubt.
Yes it's missing a DM, but c'mon it's Spurs we're talking about here, not Stoke.

Pat - just gets the nod over Hugo (for now) after a ridiculously long and consistent career.
Stevie P - undoubtedly a better RB than Walks or Carr. Just better. (and a fantastic leader on the pitch)
Chrissie Hughton - as above re Rose. Danny might eventually surpass him. But not yet.
Ardiles-Gazza midfield axis. It's poetry in motion. Who needs tacklers? Nobody's getting the ball off of these two.
Hoddle at number 10. Not Downing Street. We haven't had that many absolutely outstanding players in this position - although VDV clearly makes a decent back up. I had Glenn further back initially, but he really is unbelievable in this position too. All about vision, vision, vision.
Kane up front. Controversial? Clearly Klinsmann and Lineker (amongst others) have great claims. But Harry is probably the one who's best suited to the lone striker role out of all the great strikers we've had.

So, I'm kinda surprised to see that only 2 of today's team make the cut. But, as mentioned, there's one or two who might get there in a few years if they keep improving as they have done recently.

None of our current squad will make the best ever 11; but Lloris and Kane will make the 25-man squad.
