How much more talent have we got coming through the ranks?

Sadly I have to admit that due to an incredibly busy life and less time on here than I used to, I'm not able to keep up to date with what's happening away from our PL squad.

Are Kane and Mason the early signs of the money we've put into the academy? Are they two exceptions or have we more of their ilk waiting to make their breakthrough? Who is in the horizon that I should be excited about?

Oh I already follow Windy whenever I can, no better knowledge on all things involving Spurs youth. Was really wanting to know who the good members of SC are excited about.

Yahaya (although no-one has really seen him as he can't sign a contract with us till he's 18)

All ones were really excited about. Pritchard and Veljkovic are out on loan and doing well (Veljkovic dislocated his shoulder though).

There are plenty of more both academy teams are doing well and we have a few others on loan. The future is bright.

Personally I'm most excited about Oduwa and Pritchard. But always hard to tell who will actually make the grade in the long run.

And Edwards actually, damn that kid looks good.

With Kane, Bentaleb, and Mason making such a big impact I want to get more clued up again on what's to come beyond those already in the fringe. Especially now with Poch as the head coach as he genuinely does seem to be the real deal in regards to bringing them through the ranks.

With Kane, Bentaleb, and Mason making such a big impact I want to get more clued up again on what's to come beyond those already in the fringe. Don't forget Rose and Townsend. We had 5 players from our Academy (yes Rose is considered club trained) starting when we beat Chelsea 5-3. Also getting £18m back for Caulker and Livermore. Amazing what a turnaround our academy has had.

I would say that we have quite a few players to get excited about at the moment that have a real chance of making it into the first team over the next 3-5 years. But honestly I think the key is going to be continuity for the first team, we need Poch to do well so he remains at the helm and gets given the chance to bring the kids through, which he seems like he knows how to do and at the right times so far.

Best thing is to follow the u21 thread, it's the best thread on this whole forum imo. Even if I don't have time to look at all the threads on here I always check the updates in that thread.

I think the early signs of the academy investment were the likes of Townsend and Livermore.

The next batch are Kane, Bentaleb and Mason. All three are a step up, Kane especially. I've not seen much of our youth but keep track mainly through here and read what those who watch them have to say. I have seen Onomah a couple of times and he looked pure silk, a description used for Pricthard too recently!

Having one youth product force his way in to the first team is good going thesedays. To have three, at the level we are competing at, with more knocking on the door next season, is absolutely fantastic and unheard of in English football right now.

People often chirp out the old 'futures bright, futures lillywhite' but it really is the case! The investment in youth and our academy is the best investment we can ever make. Better than the stadium imo
