carry on playing well and maybe get another goal in the second half.then close the game down and not worry about having to go 3 or 4 up because the defence will go to sleep at any time..
but then it just would not be spurs...would it???

As I said in another thread, isn't missing a sitter just as bad as conceding a goal?

I haven't seen the game, but apparently Robbie Keane missed an open goal today. Had he scored, we'd have won. Just the same as had we not conceded one of the goals we would have won.

And what a miss it was i think keane has lost some confidence

Absolute sitter... The ball had gone past the keeper, and even if Keane had hit it back towards where the ball had come from, he wouldn't have saved it... The whole stand was practically celebrating when the ball got to Keane... Shocking miss...

But, as it was only after about 5 minutes, I don't think you can categorically say we'd have won if he'd scored...

Jenas's second miss was almost just as bad, as he'd already had one virtually identical chance saved... The first time he went for placement, when if he'd smashed it, it probably would have gone in... Second time, he placed it as well, when if he'd wellied it, it probably would have gone in...

We missed 5 chances - Jenas had two one-on-ones with the keeper; Keane missed two chances (the first an absolute sitter) and Berbatov tripped over the ball when unmarked, in front of a open goal, two yards out.

Having said that, we would have won if we had a goalkeeper. The first goal is right up there with his mistake against Croatia. For the second he parried a shot in the path of Hunt. The defence today was fine and we would have won 2-0 if it wasn't for Mr Flapatit at the back.

if he had scored we would need another pretty quick the way we are playing.as soon as we score i am just sitting there waiting for the other team to get 1.you can never no matter who we play relax and think right this could be in the bag.even if we are playing really well you just expect it to happen.
