Glad to hear Hutton is doing well. :)

As for Rangers fans being animals.......:duh:

We brought anything from 150,000-200,000 fans to Manchester. The police said that 200 were involved in the riots. Do the maths.

Also, pictures of the fan zones show a sea of blue. Pictures of the rioters charging police is a case of 'spot the Rangers fan'. No colours in sight, plain clothed thugs and reports indicate that those involved were largely plain clothed, non Scots.

Anyway, I was just on to ask about Hutton, not sure why you'd bring that up. I believe you have a general football board to discuss other issues.

his performances have been excellent, i think most fans see him as our right back for many years to come. seems to have bundles of energy up and down the right, put in a few nice crosses and defensively very solid. he had a great game against man u at home when we drew 1-1, it might even have been his debut. Definitely got a lot of potential to be even better, and if he stays with us for a few years very much value for money. Only problem is he always seems to be getting fouled a lot, the Cole challenge that got all the press was on him and there have been a few others as well, so just hoping he can stay fit, he has had a broken leg once before already right? He would have been useful for Rangers on Weds i guess with Arshavin down the left, would have been a good contest.
The white cafu is quite apt i think, can see that nickname catching on!
Also, I'm hoping he talks up Spurs to Allan McGregor, he looked very good whenever i saw Rangers in Europe earlier in the season, havent seen that we're interested in him but i think we should be!

McGregor has been great this season. His value is rising quite high though, reports suggest that Rangers would be looking for anything from £8m to £10m for him, which is quite high for a keeper. This is also his first season I would say of producing first class performances on a regular basis, so he may be viewed upon as having more still to prove. Certainly a better bet than Robinson though, and he's proven himself to be a safe pair of hands in high pressure games......Old Firm, Champions League and UEFA Cup.

I know you have a bit of strength at centre back, but if you really wanted a top drawer defender, Carlos Cuellar could be your man. Spurs have been linked to both Cuellar and McGregor up here. Cuellar has been sensational, holds the entire backline together, strong, brave, excellent timing in the tackle, good in the air, composed on the ball, decent pace........I'm very fearful that he'll be leaving for the Premiership. Not because he particularly wants to, like Hutton did he loves it at Rangers, but when a big offer comes in, it's tough for the board to turn down.

I was talking to a rangers mate last night about Hutton. Said what i usaly say about him and hats he is a lot calmer and controled in his game.

Would love to see more of him going forward, great cross on him and can take on and beat his man as well.

Fantastic buy, but exspencive, but you have to pay that if you realy want your player.

Wasnt sure when we signed him for the fact I hadn't seen any of him, but has really impressed me by his performances, deserved his CC winners medal, been one of the players who havent put up their deckchair since that game, although he was shocking vs Liverpool.

Looking forward to seeing him progress next season

Not waxing as lyrical as others on Hutton. He makes very good forward runs but he doesn't seem to like defending that much. Has been royally skinned on a couple of occasions by quick, nippy wingers. Love his driving runs though, but his crossing needs improvement.

Plenty to work with, and his best games have been against Man Utd and in a Wembley final, so that bodes well. Equally, though, there's planty of improvement to be made. If he can make those, he'll be top drawer.

He's been really impressive so far. He was expensive at the time, but he's justified his price tag so far, and hopefully he'll prove next season that it was a bargain.

Good player. I think people have gone OTT with him as he loses the ball quite a lot on his runs. I think he has found it quite hard personally thus far. Hard worker.

Will become better next season. I hope!

I agree about the runs - he seems to have a habit of keeping his head down and not seeing a pass, which means he gets stuck with possession as he runs out of steam when the defender closes him down, then collapses into the defender looking for a free kick, which is rarely given. Generally rate him as our best fit full back at the moment, and agree with others that his work rate has remained good right to the end of the season. Good signing.

I wasn't sure when we signed him due to the fee, although I must admit I had never seen him play. However, he has settled instantly and along with Woodgate(another I wasn't sure about) they look like terrific signings for us. Really pleased with Hutton-although we really need to sort out a decent song for him

I think he's the Hutts Nuts. He's better than Chimbonda (who I actually rate), seems decent both defensively and attacking and will surely get better the more settled he becomes at Spurs. He also seems genuinely proud to play for Spurs so I think he'll be a favourite for years to come.

1.) Performance - He's been really good and better than I expected. I was surprised at how good he is deffensively.

2.) Potential - Not much. I think what we are seeing is what we are going to get, as technically i don't think he's at the level of the best fullbacks going forward and at his age is unlikely to suddenly improve. But, i'm pleased with him as he is now. I think we may have to upgrade in a couple of years, as the way the game is going fullbacks are becoming more and more important going forward, so we will eventually need someone with better technical ability.

3.) Value for money - I think in todays market £8 million was a good price for him. I think both clubs can be pleased with the deal.

I think he's fantastic, great value for money, and a perfect back up to Lennon on the right. Also, got an awesome cross on him aswell.

I think he has been decent enough since he came in January but for me has'nt really lived up to the hype.I hope that once he has settled in and gained a bit more confidence we will see a lot of improvement in his performances!

Fromthe games I've watched, I find that he doesn't read the game as well as he should and his positional sense isn't as good as his pricetag makes out it should be.

Other than that it is too soon to tell. Give him a season in the EPL an then get back to us.

Also LOL in the UEFA Cup and at Motherwell!

Eek:rofl::rofl::rofl:

yeh sure.
So far i've heard rangers fans say "we bought about 40-50,000 fans" "50-100,000 fans" now you say 200,000? Absolutely ridiculous. Do the maths fool
