3 points papering over those big old cracks for another few days.

Hopefully Lamela was rested for Barcelona, otherwise it will be another classic exercise in the coach stopping any momentum he's built.

Running theme for this season will be how bad our midfield looks, so it isn't even worth mentioning. Part of me wants to see Winks start alongside Dembele vs Barca, but the other half knows that will be utter suicide. Dier and Wanyama for another entire season... Sad.
Luckily I don't think Lamela is a player who relies heavily on momentum. Plenty of occasions where he's come straight in after an absence and been involved. Think him and Eriksen (if fit) will start midweek.

Had to win that and we did, especially with Arsenal winning again.

Didn’t follow the match either so I have nothing to moan about :D.

Rose went from the sublime to the ridiculous on many occasions.

A win is a win regardless, especially as it's our 5th away game out of the 7 played so far - - Arsenal have had 4 home games and 3 of those were arguably 'gimmes'

Agree on Rose. Awful at times. That's Rose though.

You'll wait a long time then cos he's put you on ignore:)
Ah well! Was hoping it would get through before the ignore. If he'd rather call me names than actually debate the point with me I'm probably better off. Ironically he typically ignores me anyway without the ignore function when I disagree with him.

Poch has to end his lovefest with Dier and drop him.

He’s been poor, not only for this game, for quite a while now. His mistakes have put unnecessary pressure on his teammates.

But that's a debate for another thread.....

The points are definitely all that matters at the end of the day. Obviously Huddersfield are poor and we will play plenty of teams that will punish our mistakes. Hopefully we will settle into a rhythm as the games go on.

Huddersfield are one of the favourites to go down.
There's a joke in there about everyone's moms and/or there significant others but I will refrain from that on this Ryder Cup day of mourning. Mostly because I'm classy like that...or I can't summon the energy after that game.

A win is a win but again not a convincing performance.
Going through the team it is difficult to select someone for MOM

I just don’t get this moaning and groaning. Lamela was out for 15 months. Let’s not overload him. We will need him v Barca far more than Huddersfield.

Not able to watch the game but am glad with the 3 points.

Just have to trust the lads to find the groove as the season goes..
