Very very happy at the moment. Part from doggy 10 minute spell in first half which coincided with Gomes going off we dominated that game. Defoe was on fire and Keane had an outstanding game! Cant see us selling him after that performance now. Certainly put those doubters (including me!) that they cant play together in there place. Palacios took his goal well hopefully this will give him confidence to go on and score some more. Thought Hutton also had very good game.

Only negative was I thought Corluka looked bit doggy at centre back seemed to switch of on couple of occasions in first half. But was much better in second! Also Gomes injury didnt look good. Hope its not too serious. Trying not to get too carried away as Hull were seriously poor. Just heard on Radio something like they have only got 16 points out of last possible 96!

2220: Hull City boss Phil Brown after his side's 5-1 home defeat by Tottenham: "I don't think, hand on heart, 5-1 flattered Tottenham tonight - they were fabulous. It's difficult to say to our boys to go out there and do what Spurs do because the gulf in class looks alarming. Luckily, though, we don't have to play Tottenham every week and next up we have Bolton, where we'll need to dig in and respond. The fact is, though, that anyone who played Spurs tonight will have got a hiding, I think."

Fair play to him, nice to see a manager admit they were second best unlike a certain Liverpool manager.

Agree. Most managers. like Hughes and Big Sam for instance, would have made excuses and said that the socreline flattered us.

Worthy of a signature I reckon

I'm so nervous now, I can be dramatic but failure after being 2-0 up would give me a familiar sense of foreboding, will we never be able to close games out when 2 goals to the good?

Ok, we'd just conceded and it was getting a bit hairy. I do however apologise for doubting the boys, with hindsight I was very dramatic.

How wonderful is it to have an opposing manager say that?Fair does the heart good. :)
As the others said, credit to Brown for saying that. There are many who wouldn't have given us the credit we deserve.

A certain fat Spanish waiter springs to mind.

I agree, Brown may have an oversized ego but he is generally class when giving credit. Rafa would've complained about the refs, Wenger would have complained about how old our team was in comparison.

Im sure Joe Jordan said 'take him off now' (might have been something before it) after Keanes goal.

And Defoe scoring away from home

Strange day.... everyone is giving us praise

Just back from what felt like an absolute sauna of a stadium.

Minuses - Keano's touch, Corluka's touch, Gomes' punch just before he left the pitch.
Pluses - Everything else.
