I know this isn't about Hunt, but do people here still feel good about not going after Ba? Many were talking about his bad knees. I wish his bad knees were firing for us and did in te window.

I wonder if we'll still be talking about signing Hunterlaar in 50 years time? Feels like this story has been going on for as long as that :wacky:

Holtby is the one. If someone can get him on a free in January for the Summer they will have a young, absolute Gem on their hands. Similiar player to Isco but a bit more direct and German steel as opposed to the Spanish flair, but a fantastic player all the same.

It appears the Liverpool rumours have originated from the President of the Official Liverpool Supporters Club: Netherlands. This guy has made a tit of himself once before by claiming he knew stuff that wasn't true to do with a chinese takeover in 2010.

My mate says all his lot know is that Liverpool made an offer and no-one has a scooby doo about anything else, and if they did they would know.

However, someone I know in Amsterdam who's clued up fully expects he will stay at Schalke until the summer no matter what, as him making sure Schalke get back in the CL at the end of the season is worth a lot money to the club than the £6-9m they would get in January.

The latter is what I expect to happen. makes no sense unless someone like a Chelsea came in with a ridiculous offer to Schalke.

We already showed the world that we can cope with bad knees.

Just the ones who witnessed how terribly he did when he played in Spain and Italy.

He was far from terrible, that is some myth made up by...well by you. He scored 8 goals in only 13 starts in Spain and played for a Milan side that was completely devoid of movement but still managed to score a few excellent goals and was one of the better strikers they had.

It's more like you were using it as an excuse to justify not wanting him.

"I wouldn't even rule out Liverpool, even if it would be tough for my dad - he's an Everton fan"

An apparent quote from the player

Let's face it, if Liverpool offered him the chance to play in the PL and the most money he wouldn't turn his nose up just because of his support for Everton (for a footballer its business first, this is their careers and bigger than fan loyalty)

It's gotten to that point again where I just want a striker who fits our system, even if it is for now, an Adebayor who isn't scoring shit loads.

I'm not sure having Huntelaar, Defoe and Adebayor would be the best blend, maybe, maybe not. Gotta admit I think West Brom have a really nice little balance with their strikers and they're rotating them really well. I pray that we rotate Adebayor in as much as we should and don't continue with the mindset that Defoe has to start every fucking game.

Leonardo also played him on the right of the front three, that's like playing Defoe as a No.10 - stupid.
