Despite what the media are saying and some of my fellow spurs fans I still think its no where near certain we will finish in the top 4 never mind winning the league!

It's great to hear but I do think everyone is going way over the top. We have to play city, Chelsea. Arsenal, Liverpool, Sunderland, Everton, Villa, and Bolton away. All really tough games.

The way I am looking at it is that we have a 9 point lead over 5th place arsenal and I expect to see this lead slip away over the next 2 months. Just hope we will have enough to see them off.

I dont think I am being negative but there seems to be alot of talk about spurs already being a champions league side next season and I really don't think its certain at all. Loads of hard work to be done.

Could this not have gone in the 'Race for 4th thread'

Of course it will be tough, but we have built a big gap over the teams below us and should really be looking up right now. Plus we have some very winnable games at the end of the season, we shouldnt really blow a CL place from this position.

While it would be foolish to think we've already made the Champions League and we do still have the potential to slip up, can you really see Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool not dropping points as well? Arsenal and Chelsea still have big European games to play and haven't show anything to suggest that they're going to go on unbeaten runs. If we could take single points in our away games against some of them, we'd stop them making up ground on us and one away win against the likes of Liverpool or Arsenal would be a huge step for us.

The key will be to continue winning our home games, starting with Wolves today.

Nothing's ever certain. I remember ARSEnal's 2002/2003 season when they literally chucked away the league title, against poor opposition, with a handful of games to go. I believe the joke (which I must've sent to every Goon I know) went: What's the difference between Arsenal and an Arsonist? An Arsonist doesn't throw away his last three matches!!

At the same time, Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Utd still have to play some of these games.

Think of it this way, we have already got by Wolves, Newcastle, Utd, Wigan, Stoke and Fulham away.

Think of the positives. We have 8 home games against absolute shit!

This. If we win the home games against lesser teams, which we have been doing so far this season, then we will comfortably be inside the top 4.

if Arsenal and Chelsea keep up their current pace, 72 points is good enough for 3rd. I reckon 72 is definitely good enough for 4th, though its possible both teams could get hot. Liverpool isnt going to break 70. So we need 27 points, or 1.5 a game.

I think you're being realistic not negative. a lot of people seem to underestimate the other sides.
