As you say his value currently wouldn't represent what we paid most likelyI think we should swap Soldado for someone equal (talking money) .By his price is not 30 m right now , offcourse any club in Primera would take him right now.
I think Levy spent the Bale's money , so is overall zero.As you say his value currently wouldn't represent what we paid most likely
How much would you be prepared to write off as a loss from our initial outlay? more importantly how much do you think Levy would be prepared to write off
I can't see it happening any time soon
I also think its too soon to be writing Soldado off - he's new to the league and players take time to settle more often than not. He also has to start again due to the managerial change (although that will probably prove to be to his benefit as AVB's management left him very isolated and is largely responsible for his lack of confidence in my opinion)
I think as with Lamela and as with Sherwood himself we as fans need to give some benefit of doubt and reserve judgement until a reasonable amount of time has past for us to be able make a valid assessment of them.
Lamela and Soldado may not show their best form until next season - that doesn't mean we should be writing them off and cutting our losses already in my opinion
It's strange but i found him (Soldado) better as AM than Striker . Maybe his role should be to provide/deliver passes to Adebayor , playing behind him.Depends who you're thinking of swapping him for.
Bearing in mind it looks like we could be a bit thin on the ground for strikers soon.
However unlike Giroud, Soldado has done everything right except for getting his shooting boots on. His record says that he won't go on too long without them! No, we paid round about £25.7 million for an experienced striker who is currently settling into the league, the situation isn't critical and the best way to look at it is at the moment is Olivier Giroud. Sniffed pants last season and having settled in is having a very good season this
What about Ozil ? He's done quite a bit of this already with Ade and looked good at times. I'm still not convinced we'd be able to swap him for anyone who'd be more effective, not this window anyway. It's strange but i found him (Soldado) better as AM than Striker . Maybe you are right mate , so far so good !He's done quite a bit of this already with Ade and looked good at times. I'm still not convinced we'd be able to swap him for anyone who'd be more effective, not this window anyway.
*did we not pay £26m rather than 30?*I thought we paid 30 m for an experienced old striker without any compromises and i am afraid he has no self confidence , these 100 % goal situations he missed are really questionable. Offcourse i love all Spurs players , but the situation is critical , do you remember Rebrov and Raziak ? Then see Klinsmann , he came , saved us , pure legend!
well we seem to have been linked to him since before Baldini was at the club so I suspect it was something from Levy's moneyball stats and he'd been on our radar for sometimeActually who exactly bought Soldado , anyone know ? Baldini ? Levy ? AVB ?
