Good for Falque. If he's not going to get playing time, he's got every right to want to leave and go to somewhere he will get the playing time he needs. He's already 23 years old and he needs to be somewhere he's appreciated. Sell him to someone and put in a sell-on clause. We've already seen how that could benefit you from one year to the next with Gio.

Selling Dempsey and Falqué = Bernard I reckon. Falqué has hardly featured at all in our pre season... Will be very surprised if he is still here and of August.

Clearly a player that we never had any intention of playing and bought purely as a low-cost investment to hopefully turn a modest (and purely financial) profit on, as per the "buy them cheap, sell them more expensive" philosophy described in the second half of this article by The Secret Footballer:

http://www.thesecretfootballer.com/articles/13001/spurs-can-only-profit-from-chadli-capture/

Best for all parties if he moves on, hopefully at a profit from a THFC perspective.

Falque is irrelevant really as he only ever seems to be part of the development squad.

First team has Sigurdsson, Bale, Chadli, Lennon and Townsend for the wide forward positions, any of them leave and I will start believing we will sign another wide player.

I was thinking more in terms of money then position. I think there is still a need for a Bernard or Ljajic even with the players you mentioned.

I think there is a need too, but just can't see it happening unless we shift one of those from the first team squad first.

I was going to make a video for you guys but a death in the family/household has meant it was pretty impossible to do atm

He did finish last season at the end of June, so he should of started preseason last week but he has made cameo's

He was linked with Seville but they then went for a different guy who isnt as good imo. As for Almeria they said they desperate to have him but we werent willing to let him go and they then loaned Suso from liverpool instead.

I also did manage to watch his highlights and he was fucking amazing before he got injured and tbh it was clear why some were calling him one of the best in Segunda

As for where next I wouldnt mind him as a back up as long as he got game time. Also worth noting he got like the 4th highest assists(6) in Segunda despite him only playing 14 of 42 games and finishing 90 mins like 4 times as he wasnt match fit half of the time

I think he has been lucky he hasnt regressed it seems but if he doesnt play soon he will

between him and Townsend, Andros is both homegrown and younger, so it makes sense to let Falque move on.

The very little I have seen of him I think he will have a decent career. A couple of his Europa appearances I saw glimpses of intelligence and the ability to find a pocket of space in between the lines. Best position for me is on the right drifting inside, but Bale, Lennon and Townsend are ahead of him in the pecking order.

I would love to know what the club has been quoting teams for Falque.
This is why I suggested we should loan him to Malaga last season or to a top la liga team this season because his main market for him is Spain and no one in Spain has hard cash atm other than a few.

I think he will end up at Real Betis if he does leave tbh.

From what little i've seen of him I really like Falque. It's a shame he's ignored because I really think he could give us some unpredictability and spark in the final third. He should have played more football for us during the first half of last season, especially at the times when we looked bereft of ideas.

I reckon he was only ever purchased as an investment but we need to be realistic about his current value.

It tells us he should have been used instead of wasting money on stop gaps. And I don't mean this as yet another dig at Dempsey, I mean this as a dig at us as a club and our policy of integration of the development group, including AVB.

I initially thought this but then seeing him play more and seeing some bit it is clear he is quality and interestingly he was talking the other month and said that the Southampton loan went tits up because he english was piss poor and said to Thiago he has to learn the language to do well in England
