I would hope that Poch would have some say in the matter!
A+ for consistency young Muller's
Edit Sandro sadly looks fav for the elbow on fitness grounds.

Apologies if I've mentioned it already in this thread, because I've posted it in another, but in terms of minutes on the pitch Sandro's had just a season's worth of games in the last three. That really isn't encouraging. Spurs9 may be correct in attributing that to poor coaching, but I don't believe that's the only explanation. The idea of his getting back to full fitness and having a run of games looks like wishful thinking.
I'd sell Paulinho. He loses the ball far more than the other 3 and rarely tackles. I was very disappointed with him this season because he just didn't seem to be trying half the time. Decent goal threat notwithstanding there are better options in that role.
I would not consider selling any of that quartet - Sandro / Capoue competing for the holding / destructive midfield role with Paulinho / Dembele competing for the box-to-box type role.
That quartet is a sound central midfield with 2 decent players competing for each central midfield spot. Unless there is the option to buy a player who is a significant improvement over Sandro/Capoue as DM or over Paulinho/Dembele as a box-to-box player we should not be selling at all. We should only be moving any of those four on if a replacement player becomes available that would be a clear improvement over what we already have who would waltz into our 1st eleven.
He put in 65 last season, equal most with Dembélé, at an 80% success rate.
Paulinho played 550 minutes more than Dembele. His high success rate indicates he only goes for the easy tackles & while Dembele rarely loses possession Paulinho gives it away far too frequently. You could argue that this is because he tries more ambitious passes but even if that is true we have far better players to fulfill that role.
Given that Dembele played with an injury for most of last season and we would likely get more money for Paulinho if somebody has to go I think it should be Little Paul. I really haven't forgiven him for the abject way he bottled the Downing free kick and I don't think his heart is in it for Spurs.
I would like to see Dembele defensive stats up aganist Sandros. I would be intrigued to know if the stats are close.
overall I think Dembele brings more to the fight
Ah stats, the true indication of a players worth
Ah stats, the true indication of a players worth
1. Capoue
2. Paulinho
3. Dembele
4. Sandro
How you rate them or the order in which you'd let them go?
If it's the former, I do think Capoue has been massively overrated on this forum. He came in, looked very good and then sadly he got a very bad injury at Arsenal. Since then he has looked ordinary.
True, lots of players look worse after injuries. I think that injury and looking ordinary afterwards could be levelled at Sandro and Dembele too. They all have qualities and we'd be a much tougher prospect if we had Sandro, Dembele and Capoue all fully fit and pushing each other on.
I know stats aint the only messure of a players worth though it does give clear indications of a players productivity and will perhaps force people to view a player differently. I feel Dembele has been given a rough deal whereas Sandro is lorded maybe because of his eccentric nature off the field.
