I'm devastated by this end of season, West Brom onwards has been a shambles and posed a few questions, but I'm not going to let it detract from an otherwise good season in which we've played some great football and were pushing the title winners till the final month.

Yes, finishing below Arsenal on the final day yet again is very painful. Today is a dark day. However, this is our highest league finish since 1990 and certainly the best season I've seen in the league. We are in next season's Champions League group stage for only the second time and we have a very young team which will only get better.

I'm disappointed and I think this past month has shown us that there's still much work to do, but as flat as I feel now, I'm already looking towards a great summer of sport and an even better season next time, our final season at White Hart Lane no less.

This is the beginning, not the end.

How the fuck can you be proud of that? The players and the manager don't care if we finish above Arsenal. They don't get it. I'm fucking devastated.

I'm not proud. I'm resigned. Resigned to being in the shadow of the nomads forever. I've never seen us finish above them and I never will. Fuck being a Spurs fan.

Yeah, the players have been saying that for weeks now, just like they have been saying how second is important to them and we will only improve etc etc.

Keep believing it if it makes you feel better, I am not buying it.

Bubbalug, i admire your optimism and, in about a week when the rest of the league's fans have gotten over it all, i will also look at it like this but, at the moment, i'm going to forget football for a bit (y)

I'm really not, this has to go down as the biggest collapse since I've been supporting. Absolutely embarrassing last 4 games with the icing on the cake today.

For me today has undone all our good work and cast a massive shadow over the summer.

I'm ashamed of them after that. It's also making me question if we really are any good. Season as a whole has been good but this has left a real foul taste in my mouth.

Nah fuck off.

Only thing worse than that shower of shit is people acting like it was anything other than a big stinking queef in all of our faces.

Being a Spurs supporter is a disease.

Can understand why you would feel that way. But I've had a sinking feeling since the West Ham game. We've tailed off dramatically, again. As much as I think Pochetino is good for the club, I have serious doubts about whether his style of football can be sustained over such a long season. Especially with his stubbornness to expand the squad. There are definite merits to having a small squad, I think that's clear to see. But I think that's outweighed by the fact that we just can't keep it up when the season is reaching it's climax, which is arguably the most important time. We will never win a major trophy if we can't finish the season strongly.

Lessons need to be learned. We have a young squad, but they have a lot to learn, our manager does too. Let's hope they can come back strong next season. I'd imagine the dressing room is pretty flat now though.

The beginning of weeks of abuse certainly.

But in all seriousness yes, we have alot to look forwards to. But I am genuinely concerned what impact this capitulation will have on the side in future endeavours when we approach crunch periods. Arsenal should never be our target but getting over the line and finishing above them this season would have got that monkey off our back that I am sure has held us back over recent years.

Lets hope Poch can turn this into fuel for next season rather than it become a self fulfilling prophecy we have to live through every season.

I hate the relentless pessimism that plagues this place, but I just don't think you can argue with it today. The players have let us down completely, and undermined a very good season. We desperately need a couple of mature heads in this team, cos I don't think it's a lack of passion that's cost us its a lack of control.

I'm not proud.

How can you be proud after being beaten 5-1 by any team, let alone shitty Newcastle who have been shit all season and relegated.

I'm disgusted with Spurs, absolutely disgusted.

Undone all our good work? Biggest collapse ever? I don't buy it. I'm distraught about the moment but the bigger picture is still a good one. We lost our heads and our heart at the critical moment, going into the final four games, but until that point we'd witnessed more than we could have asked for. In the same way that I was entertaining fucking stupid notions of 'reverse st Totteringhams', because I'm not a fucking idiot, I'm not going to slit my wrists over this.

I'm still happier with this than the Spurs I grew up with, finishing mid table season after season with only ever one or two players worth watching. End of the day, when the dust settles and we are able to have clarity again, rather than be ruled by emotion, we will look ahead and be positive because there are a tonne of reasons to be positive.

What I learned is that we aren't even close. And I'm not proud at all. All season we knew that the margins were razor thin. One injury to Kane and we were likely sunk. Remove Dembele and Alli and we fell apart.

Everything we said this summer still applies. We didn't strengthen, we don't have depth, we're going to need luck. We got lucky with other clubs falling apart and injuries. We aren't anywhere closer to a top 4 club. We may have finished 3rd, but if we don't strengthen in the summer, we're still an injury away from 6th place and a group stage exit from the CL.

So no pride, no silver lining, just honest realism.

In the end we're going to take a lot of shit from other fans. But we've been out there all season battling away. Where have Newcastle been all season? They only turned up today but won't exist in this competition next season. Where have Chelsea been? They turned up for the first time against us the other week to hand over their title to Leicester and celebrate a draw. Arsenal have done nothing all season as usual. We secured our second ever Champions League spot and the burned ourselves out completely in a ferocious assault on the title and fell short. I bet these other fans deep down wish they could have said the same

There is nothing to be proud of. Leicester can be proud. What can we be proud of? Losing against a relegated team reduced to ten men? Proud of that we only lost with 5-1 when 8-1 would be more fair? Proud of bottling it again and finishing behind Arsenal? Proud of the lack of character our players and managers have showed us inte last couple of games? Proud of our boxing and eye scratching players? Proud of a manager who said that it's not important to finish above Arsenal? There's nothing to be proud of at this moment. Yes, I'm bitter at. Now, if you excuse me, I will go and take a cold shower and listen to some melancholic music.

BBLG I do admire your sentiment, and next week I may well feel good about finishing 3rd, because at the start of the season I would have ripped your arm off for that, but since West Brom we have given up. The players that I should be feeling really proud of have not even mustered a better points tally than the dross that AVB served up.

Thank fully I missed today, I took my boys to the National Football museum and I got them listening to commentary of Gareth Bale tearing up the San Siro, Tony Parkes save against Anderlecht and Ricky Villas goal 25 years ago yesterday.

I then get in the car and hear the scores coming in..no they did not make me proud today.

no
never been so disappointed of the squad
they just don't care and want the game end as soon as possible so that they can enjoy the holiday
even poch himself doesn't care
should have fined the starting xi and subs played last week, they do not deserve their wages these weeks
