Proud of the team, just piste about the performance.
Couple of additional signings and we'll be better next season.

I'm honestly not mate, it's been a good season but I don't think it's been an amazing won. For me amazing is winning a trophy and we haven't done that. We've played some great stuff and there are some great memories but it's about silverware
What about growth? 26 years since we last finished 3rd. First time we go into a new season guaranteed a champions league group spot which will give us transfer opportunities we never had before. Maybe it won't guarantee big names some people crave but the best young talent will see how our young lads have broken through and that favours us too. The more opportunities open to us the more we move on. The more we move on the closer we come to glory. The bar has been raised this season. Had our results happened in a different order and we finished stronger and crept into third maybe some would be happier but we'd still end up in the same place. The season is done and we are in better shape than we have been in many years. Including the cup winning years of '99 and '08.

And we should be proud of the players? I'd sell him to Sunderland just for that, if true. Disgusting.

I've just realised the worst thing about days like today isn't the grief from the Gooners. It's the grieving Yids. Pull yourselves together! This is Spurs Community, not the Samaritans.

Dougal out.

I posted this another thread.

At the end of the 2014-15 season, I was unsure of Poch. In fact, half way through that season I said to my boy that he isn't that good a manager (I am more than happy to admit that I was wrong). We finished 5th but the football played was not the best and we were a bit lucky in many games with last minute winners etc.

All we could all ask for was progression which we got this season by finishing 3rd and playing better football. If anything we were unlucky as we deserved more points as dominated quite a few matches but drew some of them.

Remember that this season we didn't beat any of Leicester, Arsenal, Liverpool, Everton, Chelsea, West Brom or Newcastle. 7 teams which is a third of the league. When you think about this, then you realise how much further we can go.

If Poch improves as he has done in the first 2 seasons, and learns from this season's mistakes, then we should be in a good position next year.

This doesn't condone how we played yesterday because we were all let down, but hopefully it means Poch will learn lessons both tactically (get a plan B) and player personnel (new recruits and experience).

I'm the first to admit I was wrong about Poch and his post match interview y'day has convinced me that we will improve next year.

Spot on post this. I think we all had to vent our frustrations after our team that gained so much of our trust served up the shittiest of shit sandwiches, but really looking back we have to realise we were a bloody good side for the majority of the season, and have plenty of scope to grow going forward. In fact if anything it has sharpened the minds that there is a great deal of work to be done this summer. We're good but we haven't made it yet. Over to you messrs Poch and Levy...

It will be growth if they kick on next year and win something or this will be entirely meaningless. I'm just hoping that this result will give them the necessary kick up the backside and prove me wrong about the mentality of some of these players. Onwards

In a funny sort of way yesterday (and the loss last week) could serve as a blessing in the long run. Weed out the weak links of the squad before the start of next season. We'll be playing in Champions League next season and if there's one thing we learned from our trip to Dortmund is that our midfield beyond Alli, Dier and Dembele needs some work. The alarm bells are out now, if we lose either or god forbid all for the Champions League then we're in serious trouble.

I expect a few incomings now and at least 2 of Carroll, Mason and Bentaleb to be replaced. I expect we'll see more of Onomah and the likes of Winks and Pritchard. There will be no false assumptions that this squad is there just yet. It was a reality check that we have to learn from.
