Dembele and winks for a month - or maybe a 4 man back line - and keep dier in midfield
I’m not to worried about Toby being out,I think dier has looked great tbh.Poch will want to stick with back 3 pretty sure.Tbh our only 2 tough games toby will miss is NLD and Dortmund Which Actually doesn’t really matter now.No issues with foyth in a back 3 with jan and Sanchez think he’d be fine. And would be great to know we can count on him.

But Kane looked a little bit tentative today.
Clearly not 100%. That was 3/4 kane...just. Was still very effective and scared the life out of them just being on the field. Was definitely a risk playing him; but it seemed to have paid off.

Just hope no reaction.

Yep! That was a Kane who was managing his game, his pressing and running, picking his spots like he did with that pressing run to get the throw in for the first goal. Fella has great awareness of the game, and is learning the same awareness re his own body and its limits. Yet, he still consumed the attention of that Real defence!

Kane didn’t need help coming off the pitch. Will be very surprised if Toby is not out at least 3-4 weeks.
Didn't see him being helped off, big shame if it is a fairly lengthy absence. Our best hope would be that Wanyama being back on the training pitch means that he'll be right sooner and Dier can drop into CB. Unless of course Poch thinks Foyth is ready.

In isolation Toby's injury isn't a disaster. However it means Dier has to drop back into defence and we're already light in the central midfield positions with Wanyama's absence and Dembele's iffy fitness.

I just hope Dier and Winks don't get burnt out over the next few weeks.

They are developing into a really good pair in CM. Southgate would be mad, OK he probably is, not to try the two together for England ... though they are already playing too many games

Just before Winks was subbed last night he was running back as Madrid attacked and he looked absolutely gone, he was so slow. Think Dembele will play on #unday

Always said whoever played CB against West Ham was at risk.Toby has played every 3 days since international break.Very surprised he played against West Ham or didn’t share a half with Sanchez.

Alderweireld is a loss but we can cope as Dier can slot onto that right-hand side where arguably he is better than in midfield.

Hope he recovers soon though, will be a real bonus when we start to see players coming back and bolstering squad perhaps allowing for rotation.

Still waiting to see Lamela in action in our 3-4-2-1 formation as reckon that would suit him a lot more than 4-2-3-1. Hope he is able to make an appearance soon, was a tad unsympathetic to him earlier in thread but was having a shit day at work so in a bitch mood that day lol.

Any news on Wanyama as indications seemed to be that it was bad (JJ kinda backed this up) but there's not really been any clear news?

Our midfield engine room is a slight concern as if Dier playing at back we're very reliant on Winks staying fit (with Dembele being a bit of an ongoing concern and Sissoko continuing to be slightly inconsistently scary lol). It's a tricky one as on one hand could invest in another engine room midfielder or take a chance on Onomah if we can recall in January?

Lloris has not been called up for France’s forthcoming matches. Is he injured?

Kane was heroic last night. But I think he should be on the bench against Palace. I'd like to play 2 up top, Son and Llorente.
Foyth on the bench, Dier to take Toby's place in CD. If Davies is ok, maybe him as one of the 3 CBs to retain Dier in midfield. with Rose at LB. Hope TA is back soon though.

Just based on last night, but I think Dier will stay in the middle, while Sanchez moves out to the right side.
