I've just watched the first half of the super cup and taking into consideration that it is their second official match, they don't look as threatening as i had imagined them to be. They have 10 players from the CL final playing and aren't that impressive. Chivu can be exploited at the back by Lennon's pace however I beleive that we would need to go with 4-4-1-1 formation and try not to get funnelled into the middle which plays to their strengths. I believe the best set of midfielders would be: Bale, Modric, Palacious/Krancjar, Hudd, Lennon. I would go for Crouch as the lone striker to hold the ball up as i think the two centre halves would be too physical for Defoe and Pav just doesn't have the agressiveness. My only worry is the pace of Eto'o against Corluka. What a match-up Bale v Maicon would be.
