Don't change things that clearly work.

To be fair you have to in order to maintain a a degree of unpredictability, otherwise we would be too easy to play against over a period of time.

I agree though that a working CB partnership should be stuck to until a change is forced. Tough as that would be for young Dier. He is the future though at CB no doubt

Dier is better than Fazio, should be first choice.

I think Dier is a more talented player and will go on to be better, but right now having a gnarled, grizzled pro at the back dominating the box is the right option.

We lacked grit, leadership and toughness earlier in the season. Fazio brings all of that and is a neat fit with the younger guys around him and Vert's slightly dubious character.
