Just thinking about the team we have at the moment and for the first time in a long long time I can confidently say we have a good team.

Thinking about it Im actually very excited for next season.

Question marks still hang over Gomes for me but with both him and Cudinni we are strong in that position.

In defence we have one of the best CB partnerships in the league with Woody and King (who seems to be playing more and more games). Dawson finally seems like the player we hoped he would be and is very solid back up alongside Woody. BAE is fast becomming one of the best LB's in the league and we are spoilt for choice at RB....Corluka, Hutton, Chimbo and ZokoraEek

As far as the midfield is concerned if Lennon continues his current form and Palacios and Modric play to their potential next season we will be awesome.

We're also pretty strong up front. Defoe and Keane are top quality and although we give Bent and Pav a lot of stick (me included:wink:) they are both good players who most clubs would be happy with.

Now all that is before you even talk about summer signings!!!! I think we have a very strong team to build on now and with such a solid manager at the helm I think we can really achieve things.

I think we are a quality striker and LM away from being a very very good side.

Yep, totally agree. We're clicking FINALLY!!!!!

I don't want to see another 5-8 summer signings. I'd prefer to see a LM and perhaps a cover for LB.

Appart from that, VERY excited about next year now, as on current form, we're looking great to finish in the top half of the table.

COYS!

I'd like to see the squad players step up and put pressure on the current encumbants - ie Bentley for Lennon, Dawson for King, Bale for BAE, Gunter / Hutton for Corluka - it goes on.

Where we are fundamently weak is on the left flank - an attempt on Downing would be good.

Absolutely loving the way the team is shaping up now. We're very close to a top 5 team again. Defoe and Hutton will only add to the quality in depth. And just a few signings in the summer would set us up good and proper. Hopefully we get those done before pre-season this time. Although i would still be confident in this team next season if no players were signed and only fringe players were sold. The team is really gelling well together now.

They mentioned yesterday about how we haven't named an unchanged team in the League all season. But i'm hoping we change that from now on and play the same team as yesterday, but with Corluka at right back, for the rest of the season from now on. Even Bent starting up top in place of the tiring Pavyluchenko. Dont change a thing Harry!

we certainly do have the making of a good side and with the money thats been spent assembling the squad/team we should have a good side. performances have been good lately and i am v pleased with how things have gone but im not getting carried away. there are still things to work on, improvements to be made but im hoping that the 'arry doubters are starting to see that he can be the person to get us back to where jol had us in the next 2 seasons which is the 5th best team in the league and then from there we can start thinking about 4th again but i just dont want to get too carried away yet

- We've gone to a formation which suits the players we have available.

- We've found a first choice team (that's team, not just the best 11 players).

- We've got everyone doing well in their defined roles.

Sounds simple doesn't it.

Our mainissue regarding unchanged teams was the problem that Ramos left Redkanpp with of registering youth instead of experience for the UEFA campaign. In addition, the players brought in during January further added ineligibility for both UEFA and League Cup campaigns.

Next season Harry can sit down and plan long term, as well as put out his strongest side every game, whatever competition.

Here we go again, a win against Villa, and we're top 5 again. If (God forbids) we lose our next match and play poorly, we're a bottom 5 club again?

Slow down lads. We're still a long way away from reclaiming our status.

In fairness I never mentioned top 5 and I didnt make the op because of the Villa game.

And Im not exactly getting carried away....I said I feel we have the makings of a very good team and we could be strong next year not we're going qualify for the CL and win the FA cup.

Yes we agree again Kendall, A quiet summer with maybe 1 or 2 in, nothing major thats gonna upset the team, but even know I'm struggling to find a player that deserves to be dropped. On current form I wouldn't change a thing.

The only position I might strenghten is by bringing in another Palacios style midfielder to partner him, Jenas has been awesome with him but not sure over a long period if he will keep that up, I'd like to be wrong though as Jenas has been quality as of late and done a great job there.

It is hard to find a player who deserves to be dropped. Obviously we're always looking to improve on every position but they're all doing very well so it's not an easy task to find someone better. From a squad perspective, the left wing still looks weak (although there are lots of squads with worse options that Modric and O'Hara) but if we're going to bring someone in does that mean they have to be better than Modric? Modric could switch to the centre, we'll have to see... Hopefully we'll concentrate on bringing in a couple of triffic players in the summer and not disrupt the team too much. My top tips are the proven premiership pair of Stuart Downing and Glen Johnson (thus giving the option of Moving Corluka and Modric into the centre). I also think we'll look for another physical striker. Anyone else is likely to be a Cudicini/Chimbonda style squad signing.

I'd still worry about the strengh in the middle with Modric there though, i'd keep him left wing til the end of the season then evaluate how well he's done there. I'd much prefer the idea of two pitbulls in the centre, we have Palacios now but could do with finding another, that Sena guy from Spain perhaps or Gattusso despite his age.

Why would any of those players move from teams fighting for their respective league titles and the champions league to spurs who haven't even made it into the top half of the table for about 2 years lol!

I hope we just buy a genuine left winger and maybe a replacement for Bent. I don't see the need the for Glen Johnson as we have enough right backs(Gunter, Chimbonda, Corluka, Hutton).

We're not quite there yet, but at least there is a cause to be a bit more excited about the team and relax a wee bit about the threat of relegation. It's good to feel positive about our club for a change.

I know people were talking of Cana before and he has recently said he wants to go to England, don't know enough about him to judge though, but would another all action midfield beast really work that well with Wilson, Jenas can play and with two pitbulls you wonder whether it might be set out too defensively, but thats where the subs bench comes in i guess?

I'd still like us to keep Bentley, but if he goes, as someone said before, if we assumed Downing is coming, add O'Neil to that, he'd be a great option for the squad, and another LB to challenge BAE and we'd be cooking on gas.

To play in the best and most dominant league in the world
We managed to get Modric didn't we, why not one of those.
